Let's announce our wedding!

"Are you injured, My Lady?"

Selah took a deep breath. "No."

"Please wait here a moment. Prince Aeneas is coming soon."

"Sir Azel?"

Azel, who was about to leave Selah stopped his steps. "Yes, My Lady?"

"Thank you… for stopping me earlier."

"It is my duty to protect you, My Lady. It was Prince Aeneas who instructed like that."

Aeneas. Come to think of it, this all happened because of Aeneas.

"If there is nothing else, I may go first."

"Yes, you may go."

Selah leaned her head on the soft back of the sofa. She looked up and stared at the ceiling of one of the drawing rooms at the Queen Consort's Palace. The chandelier is small, but the paintings on the ceiling wall enliven the atmosphere. Selah did not recognize who the painter was. She only knew that the painting was about the happiness of a mother and her two angels.

This was Selah's first time going to Catalina's palace. So far, when she went to the Palace, Selah only visited Blair or if there was an important event at the Royal Palace. Until earlier, Azel escorted her to Aeneas's residence.

"It was Prince Aeneas who asked me to bring you here. But if you mind, I can escort you back to Dulcia's residence," Azel said just now.

Selah prefers to stop by. She no longer had the strength to go home. For God's sake, her hands are still shaking now.

"Calm down," Selah whispered as she closed her eyes. She held each other's hands, trying to find warmth within herself.

Selah must have gone crazy, like what her father said. Sometimes she loses control like that. If Azel didn't show up, Blair could have been injured or possibly died–no one knows what would have happened if Selah had been allowed to rampage. If Blair had even received the slightest scratch, Selah could have been charged with trying to harm the royal family.

Not. Never mind, Selah's actions just now could be used as an accusation. It could be that right now, Blair was thinking of ways to get Selah punished–

"You didn't even notice I was coming." A cold, soothing hand covered Selah's eyes. "Catch your breath, Selah. Calm down."

Calm down, Selah repeated in her heart.

After a moment, the hand left Selah's eyes. Aeneas appeared with his usual crooked smile. "Feeling better already?" he asked then.

Selah straightened her seat. "Yes. Thank you."

The maid enters and serves tea to them. Aeneas immediately told the maid to leave after her business was done.

"You must have been through something really hard. Drink some tea. It's a special tea made by Mother," said Aeneas.

Selah according. The tea instantly warmed her body. "You don't know what happened yet?"

"Of course not. I just met your father."

"You can ask Sir Azel."

"I'd rather hear it from your mouth."

Selah was stunned to hear it. Yes, this is what Selah has always wanted from her partner. Couples who know what to do and how. A partner who understands herself with just a few words.

"I almost injured Crown Prince Blair. Maybe even, from the corner of my deepest mind, I want to kill him. Luckily, Sir Azel came at the right time and stopped me," Selah told him. "If Crown Prince Blair gets hurt because of me…."

"It could be dangerous," continues Aeneas. "But I saw that Blair is fine without a scratch."

"I almost threw a vase at him." Selah sighed.

"Oh, my… Should I be impressed by that? As far as I recall, Blair didn't like table decorations. So the flower vase you mean must be on the floor…."

"This is not the time for you to be impressed, Your Highness," Selah grumbled. "I… I have a problem with self-control."

"Really?" Aeneas's brows furrowed in surprise. "But from what I've noticed quite the opposite."

"To some extent, yes. But… some things can make me forget myself," said Selah. "If that's the case, I'll chase the person who made me angry until I get it."

"Like, don't piss me off if you don't want to die, is that it?"

Selah nodded. "And so far, the only one who has escaped my wrath is my father. Because he was stronger, I was the one who was injured more badly," she said. "So I mean, considering we're getting married, you better…."

Aeneas' chuckle surprised Selah. He looked relaxed as if what he just heard was nothing.

"Ah, I'm sorry. You sound like you're underestimating me," said Aeneas. It's embarrassing to hear that. "You must think I'm the type of person who will die if you hit it once, right?"

"I-I don't say that," Selah evaded. "It is just…"

Aeneas' body is small compared to most noblemen. He also looks weak because of his very charming appearance. Plus, Selah had never seen Aeneas with a sword once.

In a way, Aeneas has no self-protection. Really like an easy target to hurt.

"Selah, first of all, I will try not to anger you. I already gave up when you grabbed my hand in your room." Again Aeneas chuckled. "Secondly, believe me, my physique is not that weak. I've told you before, I'm good at running away and hiding, right?"

"Your words don't prove anything," Selah said.

"Well, I did. Even I might lose to you. But there is Sir Azel. So you don't need to worry." Aeneas smiled. "I also believe that you won't hurt me."

He was silent for a moment hearing it. "Yeah… Well, if that's what you say…."

"Come on, don't be so gloomy. I bring you good news," said Aeneas cheerfully.

But for some reason, Selah seemed unsure about what would come out of Aeneas' mouth next. "What news?" Selah asked, unsure.

"Earlier, I met His Majesty the King, right? I thought I might as well ask. His Majesty the King has given his blessing to our marriage."

Luckily Selah wasn't drinking her tea. "H-huh?"

"Having received the blessing, His Majesty the King also allowed me to announce my marriage. So let's announce our wedding, and let's start taking care of things!"

"What!?"
