Her eyes widened while looking at Caden's naked body. But what made her heart beat faster was when he turned to look at her.

His eyes seemed so cold and distant. As if he wasn't the Caden she knew. He stared at her like she was someone he didn't know.

"C-Caden, I-I'm sorry. I called your name b-but you didn't answer." She stuttered.

She was supposed to run away when Caden walked toward him. She froze and couldn't take a single step.

His upper body wasn't full of scars, but it was full of tattoos. He had a rose tattoo on his neck, a skull pierced with a sword, and wings on his chest.

She wanted to stay in bed, but she already missed school for days, so she forced herself to take a bath.

A throbbing pain in her head made her dizzy. She had a dream of Caden visiting her last night and she felt him kiss her on the lips. But she knew it was just her hopeful wish.

"Alira, how are you? We missed you!" Samantha, and the others greeted her.

She smiled slightly at them. "I'm fine."

Lea frowned. "You don't look okay. Are you sick?"

She nodded. "I'm just having a terrible headache."

Her friends glanced at each other and looked around the room.

"Where's the prince?" Cassy asked.

She didn't answer. Then they heard chatter from their classmates and other students who were passing by their classroom would look at her, whispering to each other.
