CHAPTER 18

~*~

Bianca's face shows annoyance.

"You... argh!"

In the end, Bianca walked out of the room.

"That was pretty savage, Elle!" Zion, one of my classmates commented while laughing.

"Don't mention it," She flipped her hair, giggling. Then she sat down on the chair next to me.

"Hey, I didn't expect that," I said while smiling.

"Well, first of all, she's annoying. Second, she's just using that way to approach you. Wait, are you aware that maybe that bitch wants you, aren’t you?”

I laughed a little. "Relax. Yeah, I'm aware."

"Then, why did you help her?"

Wait, is she being jealous now? If so, I like that.

"I'm just being polite. And I haven't helped her yet because you came suddenly. Good thing, you came."

"You're welcome." She chuckled. "Stay away from her. I don't want my friend to go to a bitch."

What does she mean by that?

"Anyway, I brought you guys snacks. Mum baked them." She handed me a box. I don't know what's inside yet. I didn't open it since it's really wrapped.

"What's this?"

"Brownies. Mum made them earlier in the morning so I thought of giving you guys some."

"Wow! Thanks."

"Of course. Wait, where's Gab, Zed, and Tobi?"

"Oh, they were called to the Dean's office."

"Huh? Why is that? Did they do something wrong?"

"Yeah, it was about last night."

"Last night? What happened last night?"

"I don't know either. They haven't told me what happened yet. But last night, I picked them up at the police station."

"What? Police station?" Her eyes widened a little bit in shock.

"Yeah. I think they fought with someone. I don't know who and where."

"Gosh, but they're not that kind of people."

Yeah. My friends are not scoundrels. I mean, they won’t start fighting if no one dares first.

"Anyway, I still have a class. I just really came here to give that to you. So, I've gotta go. See you around!" She stood up from sitting on the chair.

"Sure. Thank you for this. See you around." I smiled at her.

"Yup." She waved at me. "Bye, guys!" She said to my classmates and she walked to the door like a model.

I laughed a little at what he did. That was crazy but cute.

A few minutes later, our professor for drawing class came, but Gab, Zed, and Tobi are still not coming back.

What took them so long?

---

GAB's POV

"Stop talking and run faster!" Coach Matt shouted from not far away.

Here we are now on the soccer field, running. After Dean scolded us, Coach Matt gave us a punishment, which was that we had to run for a hundred laps.

We knew it didn’t end there because we knew more push-ups were waiting for us after that.

Damn! We only ran 43 laps but I'm already tired to death. I am also thirsty and hungry.

Besides, it's very unfair. Why is the coach only punishing the three of us when Rafael was the one who started the fight? Tsk.

"Damn! I'm so thirsty, guys!" Breathless, I said. My throat is really dry.

Our clothes are also wet with sweat. Or should I say we bathe in our sweat? The sunlight is also quite high.

"Just don't worry, you're not alone," Tobi replied.

"I wish we hadn't pushed Tobi to borrow clothes from Rafael. And I wish I hadn't approached those women. Tch. I didn't know that the woman I kissed was Rafael's girlfriend."

"Forget about it. What is done is done. Let's just end this coach's punishment and we need to make sure we won’t do what we did again.” Zed commented.

"I agree. We also enjoyed it somehow." Tobi laughed.

I chuckled silently. "Okay."

"Hey! I said stop talking and focus on running! Hurry! Hurry!" Coach Matt shouted again. He was following us.

Damn, you Matt! Tch!

"Come on. We can do this, guys. Fifty laps to go." I said.

"Yeah! We can do this!!!" Zed and Tobi shouted in the chorus and we ran faster.

LUKEWEYNN's POV

"Did you clear my schedule today?" I asked Chu. I called him inside my office.

"Yes, Sir. Your schedule is already clear today, Sir."

"Good." I breathed in relief. Good thing, because I need to go somewhere today.

"Also, I informed the directors that all meetings this Friday until the weekend will be moved from next week to Tuesday."

"Okay. Thanks. By the way, have you sent Harrison what I ordered you?"

"Yes, Sir. Already sent."

"Okay. Thank you." I replied without looking at him because I was busy drawing.

"By the way, his polo is already in your car."

"Um. Thanks."

"Yes, sir."

I think this is perfect. I can't wait to see him wearing this.

"What are you doing, Sir?" There was a hint of surprise in Chu's voice.

I stopped drawing and looked at him. No, I'm not going to tell him what I'm drawing.

"Find a good seamstress right now. Give me the details immediately." I ordered and turned my attention to what I was doing.

"Excuse me, Sir? A seamstress?"

"Yeah, you heard me. Go ahead. I need it right now."

"Okay, Sir. I'll send it to you right away." Then he left my office.

I'm almost done.

JAKE's POV

Class this morning has ended. It's lunchtime. But those three jerks are not coming back yet. What took them so long, really? Is what they did really serious and it took them so long to get out of the Dean’s office?

Anyway, I'll go there.

After fixing my things, I left the classroom and headed to the Dean's office.

"Oh, is Jake here?”

I heard the girl say I had met her in the hallway. She and her companions also seemed surprised to see me.

Of course, I am here because this is where I study. Where else do they expect to see me?

That's weird.

I continued walking until I reached the Dean's office. I knocked on the door twice before going inside.

"Good morning, Dean." I greeted Dean Polar as I entered his office.

But wait, where are my friends? Why aren't they here?

"Yes, Jake? What can I do for you?"

"Uh, I'm here for my friends, Dean. Where are they?"

He raised his eyebrows slightly at my question. "They've been out here a while ago. Didn't they come back from your class?"

"Yes, they didn't."

Have they left here a while ago? Where did they go, then?

"Oh. Perhaps Matt talked to them.”

Coach Matt?

"Ah, is that so... Thank you, Dean." I bowed my head. "I'm heading off."

"Okay."

Then I exited his office.

If Coach Matt talks to them, then, perhaps they are on the field.

I headed to the field.

TOBI's POV

"AH!!!" We screamed as we threw ourselves on the ground after we ran a hundred laps.

Damn it!

I thought this was the last day of my life. Damn! All my organs are exhausted.

"Guys, I need water," Gab said breathlessly.

“We need water,” said Zed.

"How? How can we drink water? Looks like we can't stand anymore," I said, catching my breath.

And not far away, I saw Coach Matt walking closer in our direction.

"Damn! I never thought a coach would punish us like this." Gab.

"How are you, boys? Will you do what you did again?” Coach Matt asked when he could get in our direction.

"Coach, can you give us water? We're so thirsty." Zed.

"Yes, Coach. Our throats are very dry," I added.

"Answer my question first..."

"We're not going to do that again, Coach." We both said in the chorus.

"Spare us, Coach. We won't do that again. Don't punish us. Please, Coach Matt." Zed pleaded, still chasing his breath.

"Stop it, coach. They're already sorry."

We looked at the person who spoke and it was Jake. He is walking in our direction.

Oh. Thank goddess! Our savior! My brother!

"Jake," Coach called to him.

"Hi, Coach." Jake greeted him and looked at us. He still seems to be laughing when he sees us.

"Are you guys, OK?" He asked.

"Come on, don't ask that." Gab.

He chuckled and turned his attention to Coach. "Come on, Coach. That's enough. Looks like they're going to die."

"Okay. Okay. Okay. I'll stop." Coach looked at us. "Don't ever do that again. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Coach! We're not going to do that again. Not anymore." We both said in the chorus.

"Because if you do, you'll run 100 laps again... No, but 200 laps. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Coach! We understand!"

"Good. Please behave like, Jake." He looked at Jake. "I'm going." Coach Matt tapped Jake's shoulder, then he walked away.

What the...? Is that how easy it is for Jake to stop him? Seriously? What's with him?

He almost killed the three of us, but when it came to Jake... Oh damn! There is something strange about Coach Matt!

"What just happened?" Gab asked Jake and slowly got up. Zed and I get up from lying also.

"What?" Jake sat down on the ground in front of us.

"Coach Matt suddenly became gentle. What happened?"

I'm not the only one wondering about Coach Matt's sudden weirdo act.

"What are you talking about? Coach Matt is really like that, isn’t he? You should be thankful because he stopped punishing you. Anyway, what did you really do, huh?”

"Wait, let’s talk about that later. Do you have water? I'm thirsty to death." Zed.

"Yeah, give us water, bro," I added.

"Tss." Jake shakes his head and hands us the plastic he is carrying. Inside are three bottled water.

"Thanks, bro. You are really our savior." Zed said and he immediately gave Gab and me a bottle of water each.

Then we drink it right away.

Damn! Thank goodness! It feels so good.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. It's like you've lived in the desert for a year."

"I need more water. Don't you have any water?" Gab.

"Yeah, no more." Jake.

"Here. Take mine. I’m no longer thirsty." Zed gave his water to Gab.

"Thanks, bro!" Gab drank it right away.

"Anyway, Elle gave something to us," Jake said.

"What is it?" Zed and I asked at the same time.

Jake took a box out of his bag.

What is that? Are those cookies?

"What is that? What is that?" Gab asked in enthusiasm.

"Brownies. Hold on, I'll open it. I know you're very hungry."

"Whoah! You and Elle are really our saviors! We're not only thirsty but also hungry. Very hungry!" I said.

"Yeah, very obvious." Jake opened the box and the good smell of brownies came out of our noses.

Ah, I'm having a mouthwatering.

"Let's eat!" I invited. I took a piece of brownie and immediately put it in my mouth. So did Gab and Zed.

It's delicious! I'm feeling even more hungry.
