CHAPTER FIFTEEN (END OF BURIAL)

"Please do not hate your sister for what she did." The Queen said to her king Nenma.

"Why shouldn't I? She killed my father, your husband and you still dare to tell me not to hate her?" King Nenma said to her mother raising her voice.

They were both in the king's chamber and the queen was trying her best to convince her daughter against her plan of going after Princess Memma to have her executed instead of exiled as she ordered earlier on.

King Nenma turned away from her mother, the heat of the argument was so much that it was making the entire palace and its residence feel hot. She looked at the window, tightening her fists together, and she said in a thunderstorm voice.

"Never ask me to forgive her. Don't you dare?"

"Your Highness, my king. Despite being a king, you are still my daughter, and I, your mother. So please consider that and listen to my words and advice." The queen said almost losing her temper but she controlled herself immediately because despite being the king's mother, Nenma is still a king and a king can not be opposed, as a king's words and decisions are always final.

King Nenma realized what her mother was saying. She never once thought that she would ever be disrespectful to her mother.

"I almost forgot that when I finally got power," Nenma whispered to herself.

"Mother, I can't apologize but I still want you to know that I am regretful of my actions and hope you will not be upset with me." King Nenma apologized indirectly, a king is never to apologize to a subject directly whether that subject is her mother.

"I have forgiven her. She might have done that due to some unavoidable circumstances." King Nenma said in conclusion.

"She did it because it was part of destiny. This was the deal your father made with the Izagi but we never realized that it would be Memma out of the two of you." The queen said and started sobbing quietly.

King Nenma asked her mother to tell her what deal her father made with the Izagi.
