POV Jade/Hermione
Time began to pass, after Ambrose read the story, the preparation began and in no time my book began to be published, when I held the printed book in my hands it was an indescribably perfect feeling. At first, my insecurities attacked me, Ambrose encouraged me, it had been the work of both of us, so I had to have more faith in our work.
As the first month passed, I was afraid, as sales were low in the first few weeks, and I didn't know how my story had been received. During that time I dedicated myself to working out and writing the second volume while I continued with my studies, at other times I made time to spend time with my new parents, as well as practicing magic, I polished my skills and dexterity, starting fruit with cards and creating a tool to throw them, I made the prototype with cardboard, in the process when I tested it with its new and improved appearance, the results thrilled me, it was then that I understood Deidara's passion, "the beautiful art of explosions" was incomparable.
At the end of the second month, I deigned to make an appearance to find out the sales figures of the first volume, it was then that I learned that they had risen considerably, and a few weeks later my story was trending, being read by several people, there were reviews of my book, it was starting to become popular, "revolutionizing literature with a fantasy story for all ages, original and addictive, the writer Jade Baker..."
That inspired me to write to finish the second book soon, I was sure it would be a trilogy, I was inspired, and I would use that inspiration to advance these days as much as I could.
.
Within a year of publication, my book had already been read and commented on by many upperclassmen in my school, the girls took it as a book worth reading, with a unique protagonist, they had even reread it, and it was then that the release of the second volume was announced.
My confidence grew and my meetings with Ambrose to talk about the ideas for the third volume and a possible sequel excited us, we took notes and talked about everything and anything, now we had become friends and he spoke to me as his equal, he got used to the fact that even though I was a child, I was reliable, intelligent and mature for my age.
There were only three years left to enter Hogwarts, I was excited, impatient, and terrified at the same time, the time was passing fast, and in my hysteria attacks I made more prototypes of magical weapons, I even made a mobile phone based on magic to work inside the school, with small Bluetooth headphones that are easy to hide.
.
Two years later, the publication of my trilogy was finished, leading me to write the sequel that would come out this year, all the money went into an account that Ambrose and Dimitri opened for me, and all my savings went there, I was already ten years old, the publishing house got bigger and its popularity rose considerably, readers wanted and requested a book signing with me, which was certainly crazy for me.
I didn't believe all this was happening, besides the time was approaching for my letter to arrive, I had to discuss this with the guys at the publishing house, Dimitri would take care of the problem, unfortunately, the idea of using a fake author was out of the question because, after all, they had supported my story, I couldn't give them something fake, that would disappoint them more than if I didn't go out to sign their books.
In the end, Dimitri managed to persuade the readers, which I was grateful for, the work we were doing was going better than ever, Dimitri introduced me to his daughters, who were surprised to learn that I was the author of their favorite trilogy, I refrained from announcing my new project.
Ambrose and I spoke at the end of the month when the sequel was published, he talked to me to find out what I had planned, to which I was encouraged to tell him the main idea, which would be based on the theme of transmigration to worlds parallel to ours, which would take a turn when the protagonist and siblings who are reunited in that world. With approximately a total of five books narrating the adventures that each brother lived in turn until the meeting and the final battle with the one who sent them to that world.
This considerably different theme from the previous one intrigued my editor, who wished to read the story in writing, it was on this occasion that I thought of mentioning my change of school, next year, that he would probably only hear from me by letter or that sort of thing, but none of that could come out in that conversation, much less after I had provoked his enthusiasm with the future projects.
.
Time was beginning to pass faster than I wanted it to, and then the Hogwarts letter arrived, my parents were open to the idea of me going to a magical school where they would teach me what I could do with my powers. It was then time to notify my publisher, as the fact that the work could be complicated for the writing of the books, I hurried to finish the first book of my saga before time, if I left I would leave this as a guarantee that I would not leave the publishing house for anything in the world when I finished I plucked up the courage to go to the publishing house and talk directly to the guys.
Dimitri and Ambrose were surprised at the news, the contact with them would be limited and they knew that, but they agreed, the truth is that now the publishing house and my work writing books became something I enjoyed, and I could dedicate more time to it thanks to the magic that saved me time. But this body had a different destiny in the magical world, I didn't know if I could go back and write my stories as I do now, the real challenge would come when I entered Hogwarts.
.
Now I was with my parents in Diagon Alley, I bought my wand with Ollivander, and I memorized everything I would have to buy, but now with my parents I split up to buy what I needed, deciding that our meeting point would be the bookstore, where I would buy the course books and one or two extra books, then we would go to buy my uniform for my first year.
I was happy, at the end my wand was Hermione's wand, a vine wand with a dragon sinew core, 27.3 cm, my spirits were renewed, as it was one of the wands I had most wanted to buy in my past life and now I had it in my hands, the original one made by Ollivander himself.
I was now on my way to the library, my parents allowed me to buy extra books, as they didn't agree to buy an owl or a cat, Crookshanks would have to wait, but I would have to see how to buy an owl, I would probably end up asking Hagrid for help as if I could send my drafts and the manuscript of the novel, it would be easier to keep in contact with Ambrose, asking him to keep the secret of my new way of contacting him, so when we met, we would have the story revised and corrected for publication.
When I finished shopping I headed off to get my uniform, but on the way, I bumped into someone and got separated from my parents, I sighed and continued walking alone, I was sure we would meet at the uniform shop, so I didn't have to worry about looking for them, at that I bumped into a boy the same age as me again making me trip and fall, the boy had red hair, behind him were two equally red-headed twins, that meant the Weasleys must be around here buying their stuff. I came to when one of them passed his hand in front of me several times catching my attention.
- "Look George, she responded, are you all right?" - Said Fred helping me to stand up, I just nodded, I didn't know what to say.
- "What about your parents? If you got lost we can help" - Started to say George while I was dusting myself off - "you look like a distracted child..."
- "I'm fine, thanks" - I said waiting to hear their names, I didn't want to mess up before entering the school and getting to know them better.
- "Oh, I'm George, these are my brothers, Fred and Ron, what's your name?" - He asked more casually, I had to drown out all the whirlwind of feelings that came to me at the sight of them, otherwise I would burst into tears right here.
- "I'm Hermione Granger," - Was all I could say.
- "Well Hermione, we can take you to your parents"
Ron looked uncomfortable, he hadn't said anything, but it seemed like he was bored.
- "I'm fine I'd better go, it was nice to meet you guys, bye," - I said practically running away from them.
When I arrived with my parents they hugged me, they were worried, once I had all my things, we went back home, the beginning of classes was approaching, and I had to prepare myself mentally for everything that was waiting for me, I couldn't behave like a fan, I shouldn't behave like an adult either, although I wasn't sure about behaving like the real Hermione Granger.
.
One day before entering Hogwarts, I went to the publishing house to say goodbye to Dimitri and Ambrose, they hugged me without hesitation, we would see each other soon, but we knew it was a very radical change for us. Before I left, they gave me the first copy of my book, I was happy, the cover was beautiful, and I could tell they put a lot of effort into it, they also gave me some money, I was sure I could use it to buy an owl.
I packed all my things, I didn't hesitate to take my two suitcases, they had all my experiments, the finished ones and the ones that were in process, I had already read all the books I bought with my parents, in my second suitcase I had books, my library that I was making by myself, I went inside, in one shelf were the books I wrote and published in the publishing house, while in another bigger one was everything I have written regarding magic theories, the techniques that have worked for me and tricks to make it easier.
.
It was already the day, I left my room nervous, I sighed, in the end, I would only act as always, I would be Jade, just that, I couldn't think how Hermione would act at every moment just to continue with the plot if I wanted to help so that some people wouldn't die, maybe I would make friends with Harry, I would help Neville as much as possible and I could aspire to be the best in the class just to shut up anyone who dared to bother me.
When we arrived at the platform we saw how others were disappearing through what would be the door to the authentic platform 9 3/4, as we passed everything happened fast for me, I said goodbye to my parents and got on the train, in the course of looking for an empty compartment I found Neville, who let me pass, we started to talk and it was when I realized that I didn't see his famous frog Trevor, so I decided to ask him subtly. Then he got worried and I decided to help him, because it was common sense, he was kind, so I can help him.
I passed compartment by compartment looking and asking for Trevor, arriving at the compartment where I met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, as Trevor wasn't there, I decided to leave them with his entertaining spell, I went on my way, but when I opened the door I met who I least believed, Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson. All eyes focused on me, there was no point in backing out now, she was doing nothing wrong by asking.
- "Hi, sorry to interrupt. Have you seen a toad? A friend of mine lost it and..." - Before I could continue I was interrupted.
- "Who let you in?" - Blaise had said.
- "As far as I know, the train is only restricted to prefects, not first years," - I replied simply.
- "No one is interested in a ridiculous toad, outside the compartment," - Draco replied with contempt, and, in the face of his discourtesy, I felt the need to enter myself to observe the compartment properly. - "Are you deaf?! Get out! Ah!"
It was then that Trevor landed on Malfoy's head scaring him off instantly, as if that wasn't enough, the toad launched his tongue at Pansy, which caused me to laugh, when Draco was about to throw Trevor I stretched out my hands and Trevor jumped towards me, I got out of there before the situation got worse, taking Trevor to Neville.
.
Skipping my encounter with the intimidating and kind half-giant, one of the characters that I find most lovely, I now found myself entering the imposing castle, where all my troubles would begin, and in the absence of the real Hermione, I would be in charge of helping the boys.
A while passed and it was when Malfoy appeared in front of Harry, making fun of Ron, it was then that he saw me and his face of disgust was present.
- "What are you looking at?" - I looked at him and my face turned to mockery, the boy wanted to argue, well then.
- "Nothing, I'm just seeing someone who doesn't need an introduction, I mean, just by looking at you, dyed, prejudiced, ignorant and childish, sure Slytherin, and all around, a Malfoy." - I said and Ron laughed as did Harry and some of his mates.
- "Say that again," - H said, challenging me.
- "Do you like hearing your truths that much? I should add masochism to the description." - I was only playing, but he got seriously annoyed, so to end the conversation I went on to say, - "Why don't you and your gorillas bother somewhere else?"
- "Are you intimidated by my friends?" - Seeing me serious, he said, - "Or are you going to fight with us?"
- "Wow, short-term memory Malfoy? Well, to answer your questions, one, they don't intimidate me, they rather cover the vision with their large existence, two, it's not worth it, I can explain it to you, but you can't understand it anyway." - I said shamelessly, surprising everyone.
But before anything else could happen Professor McGonagall arrived, guiding us inside the GC, we passed at a safe pace, I was afraid of being in another house, it would change a lot of my plans, I wasn't sure, anything could happen by letting the hat see inside my thoughts.
The sorting started just like in the book, after the hat sang its song, they started to pass and it was my turn as fast as in the book, I sighed and went up quickly, Harry and Ron were watching with interest. Then I heard in my mind the voice of the Sorting Hat.
- 'Unblock your mind, young lady, I need to see' - It wasn't until that moment that I realized I had my Occlumency barriers.
- "Just don't say anything you see, I'm not sure what would happen if they found out." - I replied to instantly lower them.
Receiving a "hum" from him.
- 'Interesting, it's the first time I've seen a case like yours... you have the sharpness of speech and cunning of a Slytherin, and you have a big ambition, but I think you have the attitude to accomplish it... your prodigious mind is a great aspect of you, loyal and dedicated, you have talent, I see that your greatest desire is to be in Gryffindor to fulfill your goals, even with the risks and the hard future that awaits you after that decision; although you would look good in any of the four houses... I will heed your request, from now on a strong small battle awaits you, good luck' - "GRYFFINDOR!"
My selection took longer than expected, I was greeted with joy, and now I was calmer, I went back up my barriers, I felt Dumbledore's watchful eye for a moment, but then he turned his attention back to the selection, Neville passed and was in Gryffindor, then it was time for Harry and his talk with the hat, selecting him for Gryffindor, as well as Ron.
