Chapter 85 – Blaise’s Wind Magic

Robert's POV

Wow, I just summoned wind magic for the first time in my life. Man, I really want to be like mom, too.

After some time, me, William, Emma, and Peter said goodbye to Zarah and went back to town. Later at the same intersection, I parted ways with William, Emma, and Peter, as usual during school days, before going back to my home.

Later, just before 6, I arrived at my home, and I opened the front door while greeting, "I'm home."

Blaise, who was reading a book, then noticed me and greeted back, "Welcome back, Robert-kun. Luckily you came back home before 6. Where have you been?"

Taking off my shoes, I answered back, "Me and my friends went to a friend's house."

"Eh? A new friend, to be exact?" Blaise asked back.

I then entered the living room. "There's a new transfer student in our class, and apparently, she's a princess from Saheda."

This really shocks Blaise a lot. "A princess? What's her name?"

Sitting on the sofa next to her, I replied back, "Her name is Zarah Windheart, and she's a wind magic user."

"What? A wind magic user?" Blaise asked back.

I then nodded. "Yes, and I learned a little thing from her."

"Oh, okay," Blaise replied back. "Let me guess, readjusting the amount of mana had an effect on the volume of your magic?"

"H-How did you know that?" I stammered.

"That's one of the things I first learned from mom and dad," Blaise explained back.

"Is that so?"

"Yes, you should, too, so you could save up most of your mana."

"I see. Okay then."

By 7, after I took a bath and dressed in my indoor clothes, I went downstairs at the dining room to eat dinner with Blaise. There the food consisted of spiced ham, green salad, slices of apples, and whole wheat bread. After we did a prayer gesture and gratitude, we grabbed a few slices of bread, put slices of spiced ham between the slices of bread, and eat them.

"Mm, this ham tasted so good and flavorful," I commented blissfully as I savored the spices in the ham. "Thanks, big sis."

"You're welcome," Blaise responded while smiling. "These are popular nowadays."

"I see," I replied back, before getting some of the nutritious green salad.

I then eat the greens, tasting its flavor and texture.

"Did you add something to this salad?" I asked about this.

"Oh, I added some seasonings and some olive oil to make it more tasty than bitter and bland," Blaise answered back.

"That's why."

2 minutes later, Blaise asked me, "So, do you really want to learn about wind magic?"

Upon hearing that, I looked at her. "Really?"

"Yes, I had wind magic, remember?" Blaise responded with a question.

To that I suddenly remembered the time Blaise used wind magic to blow the dead leaves at the back of our house as a faster way to do the cleaning. I had that memory since I was 11 years old.

After remembering that, I snapped out and replied, "Sure, tomorrow, right?"

"Yes, alongside your lightning magic," answered Blaise back.

"Okay!" I responded enthusiastically.

Then, the next day came. At 5 o'clock, after we woke up, me and Blaise went to the usual spot at the forest not too far from our house for our daily training this time, to begin working on my wind magic.

At that spot, Blaise demonstrated her wind magical ability, which was known as Gust, a tier-1 magic, and the most basic of all wind magic.

I watched this with observation and attention while jotting down some notes in my leather-bound notepad.

Blaise then summoned a strong gust of wind, blowing the target, but not up to the point of blowing it away. The target stayed in its stationary position.

After her demonstration, Blaise turned towards me and said, "That's how Gust works. Now you try it."

In response to that, I put aside my notepad on the fallen log, and came forward. Using what I had learned from Zarah, I closed my eyes, aimed the red target with my right hand. "Gust!"

Then, after a few seconds of nothingness, I managed to focus more mana to the wind magic, summoning a slightly more stronger Gust than last night.

I then opened my eyes, only to see that the target was not moved at all.

"Uh, did I do it?" I asked.

Seeing this, Blaise responded, "Yes, but that was less strong than mine, but you managed to focus a little more mana to it."

"I see," I replied back as I put my hand down.

"Yes, let's do this again and again," Blaise suggested.

"Right!"

And so, we continued our wind magic training until 7 in the morning, where we will have our daily, delicious breakfast.
