Chapter 105 – Feast at the Palace

Third person POV

Shortly thereafter, all of them had a feast-like dinner at the palace's big dining room. There are wide array of food and drinks, from roasted mutton to roasted chicken and mashed potatoes. Most of them are chatting to each other while eating and drinking. The entirety of the Windheart is also present for Robert's arrival. And at the head of the table, Alexander, Miriam, Dan, and Sofia, alongside their children, are eating and drinking soberly.

And on the right side, Robert and Blaise are eating their meals peacefully while William, Peter, and Tanaka are telling about their lives to some of the Windheart clan members who also were at the same table. Emma and Harold, however, are silent, eating their meals normally. Sol is also talking to some Windheart clan members, too.

Then, as the servants are serving some exotic food to the guests, Alexander stood up. "Alright, everyone, we are here to celebrate the arrival of Robert, Blaise, and their friends from Saverfort, Kita, and Vanworth. Let's applause it."

He and the rest of his family and clan then applause Robert and Blaise's arrival from Saverfort as Robert and Blaise waved their hands nervously. Their royal friends then waved their hands with positive confidence unlike Robert and Blaise.

"Now then, which one of you will stand up and tell about your life to us?" Alexander said to them.

He then glanced around. "Anybody?"

Eventually, Robert raised his hand in response. "I'll share about my past to you guys."

Upon hearing that, Alexander gestured to grant his request, before sitting down and began listening to Robert's story.

So, Robert took a deep breath and started telling about his past to everyone in the dining table.

A few minutes had passed, and everyone in the dining table are shocked to hear his story, that is, his past.

"What? You're saying that your older sister Blaise once got abducted by some goblins?" Dan asked.

"That was so mean of them!" Stephen commented.

"I didn't know that," Zarah added.

"Yes, and I luckily drove them away with my lightning magic," Robert answered back with serious confidence. "They never appeared in front of us ever again, except one time when we went to Vanworth via the Yeager Forest and they appeared in front of us for "trespassing their territory"."

The Hal family and the Windheart clan are shocked to hear the name Vanworth.

"Vanworth? Is that kingdom a corrupted one?"

"Why would you do that?"

"That's dangerous."

Then, William stood up and responded, "It's because my father sent us to be temporary emissaries for a peace treaty."

"Okay, so how was it?" Alexander asked back.

"Failed, again," William responded.

"Just like the other ones?"

"Yes."

After that, Peter decided to share his story with Robert, including the time he was almost killed by him during an entrance exam.

The others beside his group are shocked to hear that.

"What? Why?" Nathan asked in response.

"I insulted his family name," Peter admitted.

"Okay, that was not good because any of those who belonged to that clan can electrify you in seconds," Dan responded.

"Yeah, yeah, I learned my lesson."

And then, after that, Harold decided to share his story of his escape from Vanworth and how he and Marionette met Robert.

"Wow, he was like a hero to you," Nathan commented. Then to Robert, "Great job, Robert-kun."

Scratching the back of his head for a few seconds, Robert replied, "Yeah, I did that just because I saw Arnold's treatment of them, and I wanted to stop that."

"I see," Alexander responded.

"That was good of you," Miriam added.

"Thanks."
