Chapter 142 – The Kawabata Clan

Third person POV

Eventually, the Kawabata clan decided to accept her petition of reconciliation and apology, and Emi was allowed back into the clan estate. Upon hearing that, Emi stands up and was happy that they forgave her. Robert and his group are happy as well.

Later, while walking across the courtyard, Robert asked Masanori about his clan's status. William, Emma, and Harold are with them, too.

"Oh, we are the main clan for tutors for the royal family," Masanori answered back.

Robert then get what he had said.

"Yes, for generations," Masanori continued.

They then stopped at the center of the courtyard, and Masanori asked them how was their melee weapon training during the spring break.

"Oh, it's fine," Robert responded back.

"We're doing great, sensei," William added.

"Mine is improving a lot," Harold added, too.

"That's good to hear. My students can train on their own."

Shortly after that, Masanori asked them again, this time, about the coup in Zanid.

"It was by the king's own uncle," Robert answered back, "and Emi-chan was used to be one of their side."

"Who was his allies?" Masanori asked in response.

"The Old Faction," Emma replied back.

"Okay, I never heard of them before," Masanori answered.

"They're mostly made of members from different clans," Harold replied back, "under the leadership of what they called the Grand Founder."

"So that means the king's uncle is that Grand Founder?" Masanori asked.

"Yes," William responded back, "exactly."

"Okay, so how was it?"

"It failed," Robert replied, "and that guy was executed on the spot."

Masanori was shocked to hear that. "That actually happened?"

"Yes, he was beheaded, and Headmaster Sol burned his head and body with magic," Robert answered back.

  "That's his end," Zarah added.

"Wow, he really deserved that," Masanori commented.

"Yeah, he did," Emma responded.

Meanwhile, Sol, Blaise, and Peter are still continuing their chat with Hikari while Emi is in her room resting up and changing her clothes.
