Chapter 172 – Harold learns Rift

Third person POV

  Arnold was absolutely pissed off by it, so he wielded his sword and charged at him. "I'll kill you!" Then, Harold clashed with him in response, and they exchanged clashes with their swords. Upon seeing that, Robert ran out the back room and all the way to the audience seating to see the fight more clearly. There he jumped over the fence and went around the fight area towards Sol and the others. Zaiaku couldn't help but watch the fight, too. Sol noticed that, but he didn't mind at all, believing that Zaiaku is giving up. 

Robert came in time to watch the fight between the two princes. 

  Back at the fight, the two brothers are still exchanging clashes with one another, but at a faster and more intense rate.

Sparks came from the friction of both swords. 

  "I'll win, you slut!" Arnold shouted at Harold. 

  "Do it then!" responded Harold back. 

  "Woah, I never seen him being that intense in fighting," Robert said to Sol. 

  "He had been training a lot these days," replied Sol. 

Robert was surprised, and he glanced at his headmaster. "Really?" 

Sol then nodded. "Yes, I saw that, too, back at my house." 

To that Robert glanced back at the fight. 

  "He is good at fighting," Zaiaku said to them. 

William and the others, once they had defeated the Akuma ninjas, then came to the scene as well, watching the fight. 

  "What the...?" Sora commented while being surprised. "Now there's a fight between them? Is Harold-kun supposed to be afraid of something?" 

William then crossed his arms. "No, I think he's not." 

  "He's quite serious," Emma added.

  At the other side, Lain cheered for Harold, "You can do it, Harold-san!" This annoys Arnold a lot, so he pushed further, causing Harold to fall to the ground. Arnold then pointed his sword towards him. "Give it up and die." 

  "Harold-kun!" Robert responded to this. 

But, Harold had a trick in his sleeves.

So, Harold acted cool and responded, "Heh, you didn't see the rest of me, elder brother." 

Arnold was surprised. "Huh?" 

Harold then placed his right hand on the ground. "Rift!" 

Then, the ground shook and a rift is starting to crack under Arnold. 

But luckily, Arnold avoided it by jumping before the rift widen, before landing on the ground beside it. 

Robert and the rest are shocked to see Harold's new magical ability, Rift, a Tier-7 ability. 

  "What is that?" Robert asked. 

  "That's..." Sol, who was not that shocked at all, responded back, "...Rift, a Tier-7 ability." 

To that Marionette looked at Sol. "That high?" 

Sol then nodded. "Yes."

From afar, Tanaka, watching the fight, commented, "Woah, he already learned that magic?" 

  "Yeah, I think so," Takashi responded. 

  "He's so young, yet he managed to learn that," Masanori added. 

  Back at the fight, Harold kept on making smaller rifts in an attempt to defeat Arnold, but every time, Arnold dodges it. Then, Arnold's two assassins then tried to shoot Harold with arrows. But Sol noticed that, and he just shot them with spirit magic, causing them to fall from the rooftop.

  And then, Arnold became exhausted from dodging, but Harold was not. So, Harold removed the rifts by closing it and walked towards his eldest brother, before pointing his sword towards him. "Give it up. I can be that strong." 

Robert and the rest are amazed by it then. 

  "The rifts are gone," Blaise commented. 

  "Rift can be reversed by closing the rifts," Sol explained in response. 

But then, Sevan came, but he missed everything. 

At this point, Zaiaku decided to give up and reverse the deal by giving back the small sack of money to Arnold later.
