Lash Out

Settling down her thoughts and calculating her strength she still isn't very sure what level mage she can be considered. Honestly, she's not sure if she can be considered a mage but she can wield magic so maybe she's just missing something. Shiyanna knows there's instruments to measure a mages level, so she'll have to stop by the Black Hall to see if they have something to purchase.

She also wants to buy more books on the arcane and tools and equipment. Theories can only go so far so she needs to verify her own conjectures before publishing them as facts.

Seeing as it was still early and she was unable to wait, Shiyanna stood in front of her old mirror making sure her appearance was okay. Looking at her uneven hair has just barely reached her shoulder. She's put on some weight since she first woke in this body, so she no longer looks like a starved rat but is starting to look her age. She still has that deep scar running across the left side of her lip, but she doesn't care much about the scars covering her body.

She's currently only twelve years old so she would rather scare away probing eyes. But she does however need to cut her hair. Grabbing the scissors on the stand Shiyanna made quick work and began cutting with no regrets.

Looking up at her short hair, Shiyanna couldn't help admiring her amateur work. Her hair was no longer choppy and was short how she wanted it. Long hair tends to get in the way of things and after spending two decades as a bald test subject, this length isn't bad at all.

Throwing her hooded cloak on Shiy headed to the black hall to blow some coins and acquire possibly necessary materials.

Walking through the majestic doors of the Black Hall Shiyanna noticed that Zen wasn't manning the counter, but it was a soft beauty instead. Walking up as K5, Shiyanna handed the Black card to the beautiful woman for verification.

Shiy watched as the Clerk was visibly startled and lightly chucked. Alarmed, the clerk stammered out the usual greetings. Amused, Shiyanna got straight to business and handed the clerk a list containing everything she wanted. She needed to stock up on materials for her books and she needed to buy anything she'll need for the next 6 months since she's planning on going into the forest to train herself.

After checking out and receiving her discount most of her spendable funds are depleted. Seeing the end of the rainbow, Shiyanna decided to put a variety of books up to sell. This time though it's not going to be so groundbreaking, but she will add in a couple Medical, a variety of recipes, and some Alchemy books. As simple as they sound, they kind of are actually, but to the right people they can be life changing.

The point of her writing these books isn't always to shock the world into amazement since they will only be amazing in the right hands. Along the same lines Shiyanna won't always sell them. Depending on her mood she may give them away or even leave them hidden and up for fate to decide.

Coming back to the present she took the books from her space ring and inquired about how they would take these. Looking at the books the clerk knew she could no longer handle this sale due to her receiving special instructions. Excusing herself the beautiful clerk went back before coming back with none other than Zen.

Looking up, Shiyanna couldn't help but pouting. Which was extremely skin crawling due to the fact she currently sounds like an old loacher.

"Zen hmph" swinging her cloaked crouched figure side to side "I thought you didn't miss me old friend"

Feeling a shiver run up his spine Zen couldn't help but almost regret his decision to come and help Shiyanna. He almost forgot how …...very special she was. Clearing his throat he responded,

"K how could I! ha…." his response was unbelievable even to him. "The moment I heard it was you I just had to drop everything to come help you. If Mr. Elliot was still here; he would be even more excited."

Confused, Shiyanna asked, "Where did he go? Don't tell me he passed through the pearly gates."

Baffled by her question, Zen realized she should have been more detailed, "What!? No, thanks to your contribution he received his promotion ahead of time and has been transferred to a higher branch. Really, I should thank you as well, without you he wouldn't have recommended me for his old position."

Shocked, she gave her congratulations in her own special way and then got back down to business.

"Today what I have prepared may not be anything like what I sent last time but what's contained within these pages is still invaluable information to the right individuals. But I also understand it may be difficult to sell these on short notice so just deposit it into my card as they sell. Also! Each book has a card that has the most enticing and beneficial information about them allowing it to be easier to meet the right person. I don't care how you sell them or the fees he..he."

Looking over the books Zen is nodding his head in approval. Letting her know they will handle this with no issue. Pausing as if reluctant to ask, Zen finally spitting it out couldn't help asking if she had any intention to sell a book like the last time. Noting that the headquarters showed extreme interest in procuring another and was hoping that she'd have another.

The moment Zen finished his last word he was overcome with a sense of dread. Slowly looking at Shiyanna he almost fell to his knees.

Shiyanna was currently looking at Zen like he was a spec in cosmos as if he were to utter a single syllable more that he would cease to exist on this very plane. Realizing she let her emotions get out of control she quickly adjusted herself before turning back to her usual persona.

"Hehe no worries…Zen. They will get it when I decide to give it friend!"

Losing interest in this interaction completely, Shiyanna concluded this sale and headed for the door leaving Zen and the Clerk in the spot unnerved by her outlash. But before she left, she made sure to leave one last warning, her voice warped as she uttered these words,

"Let me tell you one thing, I don't like being rushed or feeling like I'm forced into doing something someone in charge wants me to do. It is in your utmost benefit to remember that. you see .... I have difficulties controlling that aspect of myself and I was really starting to like you guys."

Finishing that sentence, she disappeared from sight again. This time she wasn't bent over panting but was proceeding with a serious look on her face. She's started to notice her emotions going astray and that's the exact cause of her worry. Unable to do anything about it at this time Shiyanna made a mental note and headed to the shopping district.
