Assigning The Task

Lei Jin decided to grant them each a rainbow as well now. Before they had been too weak to handle taking any kind of enhancement. Now though they had recovered quite a fair amount. It had been 5 months since Lei Jin had removed the ink force corruption from them entirely. So their recovery was only natural. He began granting them each one of these rainbows. All of them felt the massive influx of change caused. Though since they knew it was Lei Jin's Aura they didn't lose focus.

"Master Lei Jin, you have given us so much already. Now this too. How are we ever going to repay such a debt?" Yong Sheng asked, after everyone received the rainbows in their small universe.

"Don't worry about this, it's a simple matter. Now I'd like all of you to only focus on what I am going to say." Lei Jin said.

The five former ink disciples all stopped cultivating and closed their small universe's. All now firmly focused on Lei Jin.

"What orders does the master have for us?" Yong Sheng asked, as everyone cupped their hands and bowed politely.

Lei Jin passed each of them a single Artifact World. The five of them inspected the thing he just passed to each of them. Then looked up at Lei Jin, then back at the Artifact, back at Lei Jin, then looked at each other, and finally back at Lei Jin again.

"Ahahaha, that is a great reaction. Now then I have given these to you for the express purpose of experimentation. I want you to practice with these to the best of your ability. Push the limits of this Artifact so I might see where its limits lie." Lei Jin said.

"So what Master Lei Jin is asking of us is to work on developing these Artifact worlds in any way we can? No matter what it is? What happens if the Artifact breaks?" Chu Lu asked, puzzled. This was clearly an incredibly ultra expensive Artifact.

"I have the same question as sister Chu Lu. This Artifact seems to be an ultra expensive thing to create." Yu Dao said.

"If it breaks… then…" Lei Jin said, pulling his hand out from behind his back and raising a finger. "Then it breaks." He said.

All five of them fell on their backs in shock. Each having their own kind of confused laugh. Lei looked at them confused why they were so weirded out. They all recovered after a few moments of hysterical laughter among the five of them.

"Master Lei Jin is truly rich. A single one of these artifacts is worth half of the entire Blue Blaze Sect. The Master had 5 of them." Jun Sang said, wiping the tears from eyes.

"Not only that but Master Lei Jin handed them out like candy. And then says not to worry too much about them breaking." Niu Li said, holding her gut from laughing so hard at the irony.

"I have four more of these things? So it's too bad if they break. Though it would be great if you kept them from breaking as much as possible. All you need to do is report everything about it." Lei Jin said, floating another four of these artifacts in the air.

"Eh, truly master Lei Jin can't be measured by our feeble understanding." Yong Sheng said after seeing this.

"Agreed, we are lacking greatly." the other four said, crossing their arms and nodded in unison.

"Try to focus on increasing the limits of these Artifact Worlds. I'll reward you with something good next time. Here is a scroll for each of you as well. Please log all of the information you learn in these scrolls." Lei Jin said, handing over a scroll for them to log their findings.

"I see. Does the master have a time restriction?" Yong Sheng asked.

"Nope, just don't hurt yourselves. And don't pour your world force into the artifact. I want to see how they develop without the influence of outside world force. If you find you have ideas for things you'd like to aid in your experiences just ask anyone. The things you need will be retrieved. That's all. Happy experimenting." Lei Jin said, turning around and leaving them to it.

The five former ink disciples looked at each other for a while. This was quite a crazy thing to think about. Out of nowhere they met someone who was actually giving them a chance at redemption.

"Alright! Let's get to it! The master has given us a task and we shall follow through with it." Yong Sheng said, full of energy. He was ready to begin his quest for redemption.

"I will not fail the master, I'm going to give it my all." Yu Dao said, clenching then relaxing. He remembered the things he had done at that moment.

"Of course I will naturally do the same. We must put forward immense effort for our savior and now master." Chu Lu said.

"That's right. And us three women especially need to work hard." Jun Sang said, realizing the significance of their presence.

"Wait? Why you three? What could possibly make you think that?" Yong Sheng and Yu Dao said, confused.

"Well master Lei Jin has four wives. Keeping us here just feels wrong. Even though his wives are super nice. None of us want to continue to take advantage of their kindness for too long. We don't want them to have any misunderstandings." Niu Li Responded. She was the youngest but she felt the same way as the other two women.

"I see, then what are… we?" Yong Sheng said, looking at Yu Dao.

"I… I don't know, brother Yong Sheng. Perhaps we should aim to match the sisters' resolve here." Yu Dao said, looking at Yong Sheng.

Everyone nodded and began their tests. None of them knew how long it would take but it was best to get results. The only way to do this would be to begin.

Lei Jin of course heard the entire conversation and let out a chuckle. "My wives know that those three wouldn't even make the list. If even that woman Lan Xun didn't make it there is no way these three would. Eh, oh well whatever gives them the motivation to bring out results I guess." Lei Jin thought to himself. "Let's get to the greeting hall, I'm sure that these guests are quite anxious now that I've made them wait so long. Good, these ones deserve this treatment. Time to put forward my best. This time it will be a bit difficult but hopefully the others will be able to do what I want them to do." He continued to think to himself.
