The Bridge Between Worlds

People were skeptical of trusting an outsider but since their leaders accepted Kiro fast due to not wanting to die from Kaos they warmed up pretty quickly.

"I take you're the former Prince?" Kiro tried gauging his mental state.

"I guess you could say that. I have to say, I'm really glad." He looked genuinely relieved.

Kiro gave him a strange look, how could someone act like this when their own father died mysteriously.

"He wasn't my father, he was crazy too. I'm glad those things betrayed him before he could betray us."

Kiro shrugged and asked him to line with the rest of his people. He didn't sense that the kid was lying so there was no point killing him.

There were hundreds of them on a plain field, instructed to sit cross legged. It was a mix of old and young, Kiro didn't have the luxury of choosing—to begin with this world didn't have much of a population.
