CHAPTER 89: CHAOS KING

Jia found herself floating in space

Different stars floated around

A comet whizzed past them. Jia escaped it narrowly

"Cherry. " Jia whimpered hugging his body

A figure appeared and tried to come close to them

Jia immediately noticed it and pointed a katana at it

" Who are you and what do you want? " Jia asked seething with rage

The figure raised one arm for a few minutes

" I bring no harm, " The figure said

The voice sounded artificial

" And you are? " Jia reiterated

" You know me, " The figure said moving close to them

" Who are you, " Jia said taking a fighting stance

" You can't fight me. It's impossible " The figure said with a laugh

Jia launched the first attack with the katana

" How did you get Izanagi's katana? " The figure asked

By the time the attack reached the figure, it was diverted

" It's none of your business. Just go away " Jia thundered unleashing several strikes at the same time

All the strikes were diverted also

" Would have wished to go but I'm here for him. " The figure explained

" Don't even think of doing anything. He's dead already. That means to get going " Jia said staring at the figure

" You are probably going to get killed out here, " The figure said protecting them from a projectile

" I'm supposed to die anyway so it's pointless " Jia replied with a sigh

" I can change that. Come with me " The figure said flying to a nearby asteroid

They reached the asteroid and landed on it

" Let me do a little introduction. I'm Chaos King " The figure said

" It's you. But you disappeared! " Jia exclaimed

" I went on an unsuccessful venture,e, " The figure said with a shrug

" So, what can you do to help us," Jia asked

" The attack damaged his soul that wasn't completely healed yet. I can bring him back but he will no longer be able supreme. He will become a martial honor. " The figure explained

" It's fine. You can do that " Jia said

" So we're making a trip to the netherworld. We're going to go get his soul. If it hasn't been eaten by the onesKing " Chaos King said with a hurt sigh

" I hope that doesn't happen. He shouldn't die " Chaos King said with a deep sigh

He opened a portal that sucked them in

They appeared at a place that was thick with the aura of death. The temperature was below freezing point. Jia was starting to choke

" Shit. I forgot you're a living being and you're not welcome around these parts " Chaos King said

He covered her with his chaotic energy. Jia felt instantly better and warmer

He wrapped Junshi's body in an energy ball

" So you're dead? " Jia questioned

" Nah I got my way around all this " Chaos King replied

The Netherworld could be described as a horror painting. A ball of light shone from afar. Gruesome disgusting beings fed on people's souls. They enjoyed the screams of the souls

The beings were red-skinned and had cow-like horns. They were the Oni

"What's that light," Jia asked

" The sphere of reincarnation " Chaos King replied casually

They had been moving for a couple of minutes

" So, you got any connections here, " Jia asked

" Kind of. If you see his soul, do tell " Chaos King replied

Jia tried to activate their all-seeing eyes but she remembered that the system had left her and that it was a system skill

Jia sighed in frustration

She used the soul ties and felt a small connection.

" This way," Jia said hurriedly

Chaos King followed behind her

A flying Oni almost caught her but Chaos King killed it by smashing its skull

" Don't go too far " Chaos King warned with a sinister voice

" He's not here? " Jia mumbled

" What's wrong with you? " Chaos King asked

" I swear I felt that he was here and now it's gone " Jia replied

"That's fine. The netherworld is known for playing a few tricks so don't you worry" Chaos King reassured

Jia breathed a sigh of relief

He took out a pouch containing a strange powdery substance and blew it away

" That should help, " Chaos King said dusting off his hands

" It's this way," Jia said continuing without Chaos king

He held her shoulder

" Be calm. " He said coldly

Jia stared at him cluelessly for a few minutes before taking her gaze off him

" I found him, " Jia said with excitement

The excitement on her face suddenly died down

His soul wasn't in good condition. He was in shackles and was knocked out cold

A female one was hitting him mercilessly. She had a small frame but was stronger than how she looked like

She smashed a large hammer on his bruised fingers

" Did I say martial honor? This is going to be hard " Chaos King mumbled

" Let's get rid of this piece of shit," Jia said drawing her katana

" Shhh. There might be other Onis around " Chaos King said holding her hand

Chaos King stared around for a couple of minutes before signaling to Jia

" Attack" Chaos King said

Jia attacked the Oni with a strike. It grunted

It spoke in an incoherent language

The one threw the hammer at her but Jia dodged it

Chaos King had already snuck Junshi's soul out of the shackles and vanished from sight

" My bad," Jia said executing several strikes simultaneously

Blood started to drip from Oni's body

It died shortly after

A devilish looking being soon appeared

His head was a bird's skull and he had the body of a man

" Who are you causing trouble in my district, " The being said exerting the aura of death further

Jia couldn't feel anything because of the protective chaotic energy

Next thing she knew, the being dropped dead

" Touche " Chaos King's voice rang from behind

" Alright, let's go fix him, " Chaos King said opening another portal
