Tou Shalt Not Kill

Felipe was finally free, with no binds on his wrists or ankles.

Henry was more desperate to be untied now, but Felipe first took out the nail he used to free himself; the nail was quite pointy and sharp despite already being used.

"Okay, here, you need to shut up; you do what I say, understood?" Felipe didn't waste time as he began to untie the hand of the Prince.

He just nodded; he would have argued if it wasn't for how he saw Felipe bleeding to liberate himself.

It took a lot of time to fully liberate the Prince's hands; right after that, the Prince took his mouth cover and began to try untying his ankles; Felipe seeing how annoyingly bad the Prince was trying to get rid of the knot, decided to help.

His heart was pounding; if he didn't have testosterone through his veins early, he had now. He didn't know when the mad would come, when the woman would come, or when the child would come, but he knew someone would come.

After the Prince was no longer tied up, he whispered to Felipe: "Thank you, thank you."

"Shut up, shut up… we are not safe! We don't know where our parents are or if the guards are looking for us in the right place." Felipe said as he used his little hand to cover the mouth of the Prince.

HE finally nodded and didn't say much.

Finally, with his hands free, Felipe used his speed to quickly open the door; it was really noisy, so he had to do it as fast as possible. If not, it would have been heard everywhere, though Felipe didn't know where he was.

He was sure he was not in a house; if not, he would have heard the noise of other people constantly. However, he listened to the voices of many people outside occasionally; of course, they were not conspirators but ordinary people.

Just as he opened the door, Felipe could see another door in front of him and a small corridor leading to the door that led outside. The door in front was secured with a stick. It was not a very sturdy stick; it was just there to maintain the door closed, nothing else.

Their door didn't have a y lock, and the lock was not engaged; Felipe did know who it was, either the mom bringing them food or the kidnappers thinking that even if he escaped, he would never be able to unlock the lock of the last door.

Felipe looked at Henry and used his head to signal him to open it; the lock was at a higher altitude.

Henry complied and quickly used his hands to take off the stick from the rusty lock and gave the door to Felipe for him to open it soon as he did with theirs.

Felipe chuckled as he

Felipe chuckled as he opened the door fast enough to find a home, a few machetes, some showers, and some pikes; it was clear they were in the tools shed somewhere. It is most likely there is a farm outside.

It is also likely that they are nowhere near a village or a city; they are in the countryside, waiting for the hot waters to cool off. Waiting for the right moment when they could ship them to another safe house and kill them or move them through the frontier.

Felipe was still in survival mode; he first took a machete and gave it to the wee Prince Henry.

"I don't know how to use this; I don't have enough strength." He whispered, very exalted.

"Your entire country was made with machetes; why can't you use a Machete? It is in your veins, in your blood." Felipe said as he punched his chest with his bloody fingers still.

The slaves from Haiti rebelled against their masters with all the machetes given to them to cut sugar cane.

"…but…"

"But nothing; this is us or them; you want them to live instead of you?" Felipe's voice was shaky even while whispering. It was indeed the decision of his life. He either lives or dies or probably gets significantly beaten by his captors before he is given to the Spaniards.

Felipe also took a very rusty Machete and ignored all his hand wounds as he gripped the machete with all his might; he didn't want to be in defence. He wants to leave.

After holding his Machete, Felipe went to the main door as he began to see if it was closed entirely, and so it was. He could see through the gaps between the planks that a ferrous stick or lock prevented any possibility of leaving.

'I need to get out of here.'

"No, no, it is closed, it cant be open… we have to dig," Felipe said as he made him go back; there was no point in opening a locked door.

"Dig?"

"Yes, yes." Felipe knew neither was big enough to use any giant shovels in the other tool room.

The ground was dirt; they didn't put much effort into doing so, though the outside entrance of the place clearly had some wood, as they could hear when people stepped on it.

Felipe started using his hands to try and dig. Still, no matter how much Adrenaline was in his system, he felt his wounds open and made him unable to continue; seeing that, Henry, who was looking, began to help on digging the ground.

It was arduous work as the ground itself was dense.

"Fuck fuck fuck." Felipe coursed in whispers as he felt desperation. He could not do much and could only see Henry do anything.

His mind was still in survival mode, so much so that he opened the other door, and with all his upper strength, he brought out a pickaxe but with the part on the back flat; it was meant to use for planting.

Henry cleared the way out of place as he saw Felipe hold the heavy tool with his tiny arms.

Felipe then pointed the flat side to where Henry was using his hands to dig, letting it fall while pivoting on the handle.

Tue.

The tool fell on the ground, but it dug a few centimetres, deep enough to crack everything around it; the land was quite dry despite its moist appearance.

"Take it out and start digging… I can't." Felipe said as his arms were trembling.

Henry looking at that, just ended up agreeing; Felipe has already done enough for them, he must do more, or that is what he thought.

Felipe used that moment to calm himself; he might be projecting security, mainly to maintain Henry's calm. But he was too nervous.

The moment he heard the noise from outside, his eyes again opened; his heart rate went to the roof, and Henry looked very worried.

"Put that in the other room quickly," Felipe said as he quickly went for his machete on the floor. He was now wondering if he should use the machete to meet his kidnappers right and there when they open the main entrance or hide in one of the two rooms to surprise them.

"Quick quick! Not make too much sound." Felipe screamed while whispering at the same time.

Henry nodded as he used all his strength to bring the pick axe to the other room.

They heard the wood of the entrance crack; they were already there.

"Take a Machete... When they enter, they will go for our door. You will have to open the door and use your machete." Felipe said.

"Eh? I can't do that…."

"Hear me out, hear me out, this is us versus them, there is no other way… I will be sent to Spain and later given back to my father, but you, you heard him, will be dead by the time the roosters sing tomorrow."

"…" Hery made a sacred face as he was about start crying.

"Shut shut up, go go," Felipe said as he pushed him to that room and closed the door quickly, making little noise; nevertheless, it was drowned by the fact that the lock from the main door was making a lot of noise.

Felipe also used that tie to bring his machete to the room where they had stayed. He has to wait and do everything himself; he can't rely on the kid about to cry his eyes out.

The machete is a one-edged sword, making it easier for Felipe to turn it around and use his two hands to hold it as if he were holding a rifle. He then began calming his breathing.

The doors of the two rooms open inside, so Felipe puts his back on the wall next to where the door opens, meaning if a person enters and looks to the right, that person could see Felipe with his machete.

The door opened, and so it was closed. The person approached the door slowly, which made it creak a lot.

Neve the less, the steps of the person that entered were not loud or sneaky; they just heard like they were just there.

There were around 8 steps before anyone could get to the door where he was currently at. It took a little while for the person to arrive at Felipe's door.

The person then opened the door, so without thinking, Felipe thrust the tip of his machete with all his might, not looking at who he was about to wound.

In that same instance, Felipe saw the person he had just stabbed, the kid that struck them with a stick.

Felipe felt like his heart had just stopped, and the whole world had just stopped as he saw the blade of his machete dig itself into a child's neck. His bid hit directly below the beginning of the jawline, where there are no neck muscles.

Due to the vertical way of stabbing, Felipe missed the throat, and the machete tip ended up behind the throat piercing a bit of the esophagus.

His mind was fast to create excuses, the kid was cruel, the kid was there to hit them, as long as he killed the kid, he would be able to leave, etc. No matter what kind of excuse he gives himself, his victim was a kid, and even though he is also technically a kid, his mind is one of an adult.

He just killed a kid. The era's medicine is too backward, and in Haiti, there would be none; he could tell that he had slaved through the Aorta due to the blood already gushing out while the blade was still inside his neck.

Tah.

The kid used the stick in his hand to try and release himself from the machete and swung upwards. Due to how Felipe was holding the machete, the edge was on the top, making things more painful to the child.

"MAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" The kid howled.

'Fuck fuck fuck.' Felipe once again came out of shock and took the machete out of the child's neck. But it just made the amount of blood decrease exponentially; Felipe had never seen so much blood ever.

His instincts kicked in, and he tried to use his hands to stop the child's bleeding, but with his little hands, he could not do anything but shower himself in blood. Felipe has wholly entered in shock, really unable to move.

Meanwhile, the child kept howling and crying out of pain; his throat and vocal cords were delicate.

The door from the other side finally opened, and Henry came out with his machete. He totally checked out; he never came out; only after the cries that were clearly not Felipe's was that he come out.

"Felipe Felipe…" He quickly came in and saw how Felipe was utterly drenched with blood.

The kid stopped howling as he began to feel light-headed, and in no time, he was dead, completely lifeless.

Felipe has killed for the first time, and it was a child. His mind really was not able to process that.
