"What?" Cael shook his head, even as a warm feeling spread through his chest. "Ginevra, if you leave, who will look after this place? Your vassals will tear it apart!"
Ginevra scowled and clenched her fists. "I know, but… There must be a solution. I can find someone who can rule in my stead. But whom? They are all too weak!" She clutched her head. "Too weak…"
Cael let out a sigh and came up to Ginevra to put a hand on her shoulder. "We don't have to be separated permanently, and I'm not leaving immediately. I have at least a day to prepare. Besides, I won't leave without giving you a Sending Amulet."
Ginevra raised her eyes at him. "You sure don't!"
"But," Cael added, frowning. "There's something I wanted to talk with you about for a while now. I feel like I can't delay it any longer… But not here. Let's come to your rooms."
"This doesn't bode well…"
