Lucien sat in the uncomfortable hospital waiting room chair, his thoughts racing faster than the clock on the wall. He couldn't bear the thought of losing his beloved wife and partner, Vivienne.

They had so much more life to experience together, and he couldn't fathom a future without her by his side. The hours ticked by like an eternity, as Lucien anxiously awaited news from the ICU.

The doctors came in and out of the room, their words a blur to Lucien's ears. All he could focus on was the fact that his wife was fighting for her life, and he felt helpless to do anything to help her.

The tension in the air was palpable, and the waiting room seemed to suffocate Lucien.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctors emerged from the ICU with a small smile on their faces. "She's stable, for now," they said, and Lucien felt a weight lift off his shoulders. Relief flooded through his body, and he let out a deep sigh.

As they discussed transferring Vivienne to the main hospital in Novus City, Lucien's anxiety spiked once again. "Please be extra careful in moving her," he pleaded with the head doctor. "We can't risk her condition worsening during the transfer."

"Of course," the doctor replied. "We'll take every precaution necessary." They then discussed the logistics of transferring Vivienne, and Lucien offered up his private jet to make the journey as smooth and quick as possible.

The group, consisting of two doctors, two nurses, Lucien, Olivia, Butler James, and Simran, made their way to the airport where Lucien's jet was waiting.

They carefully loaded Vivienne onto the aircraft, ensuring that she was comfortable and secure before taking off.

The flight was smooth and uneventful, but the tension in the air remained thick, and it persisted even after they landed at the Novus City airport.

Vivienne was rushed to Nexus General Hospital with utmost urgency, her life hanging in the balance.

The team of specialists scurried around her, examining her vitals and swiftly making preparations for her full treatment.

Lucien watched with bated breath, his heart pounding in his chest as he prayed for her recovery.

The doctors reassured him, offering words of comfort and solace to ease his fears. "Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to treat Vivienne and help her recover in our care," they said with conviction.

Hours ticked by as the medical team worked tirelessly to stabilize Vivienne's condition.

With each passing moment, her body grew stronger, and her breathing became more regular. Lucien breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that the worst was over.

For the next few days, Lucien barely left Vivienne's side.

Lucien's heart ached as he watched Vivienne lay in her hospital bed, her once vibrant and lively demeanor replaced with a fragile and weak one. He held her hand tightly, hoping that his touch would offer some comfort and warmth to her.

"Please, Vivi. You have to get better soon," he whispered softly, his voice laced with emotion. "I have yet to tell you how much you mean to me, how much I've grown to like you."

The words spilled from his lips in a torrent of emotion, each one laced with sincerity and love. He spoke of the moments they shared, the memories they created, and the future they could build together.

He remained by her side, day and night, offering words of encouragement and hope as she fought her way back to health.

Simran and Butler James were there as well, offering their unwavering support and comfort to the couple.

As the days passed, Vivienne's condition improved gradually but steadily. The doctors remained cautiously optimistic, monitoring her progress closely.

Lucien felt a glimmer of hope in his heart, knowing that they still had a long road ahead of them.

But he was determined to see Vivienne through it all, come what may. He knew that with his love and support, and the dedication of the medical team, Vivienne would pull through and recover fully.

And so he stayed by her side, every step of the way, as she fought her way back to health.

...

Butler James' wrinkled face wore a look of concern as he patted his granddaughter's head.

"Dear, please make sure Master Sterling himself won't become unhealthy, otherwise Mistress might blame you when she wakes up!" He knew that his granddaughter, Simran, was a responsible girl, but he couldn't help but worry about the pressure that came with taking care of the Master Sterling's health.

Simran nodded with confidence, her dark eyes gleaming with determination. "Yes, Grandfather. I will take good care of him. I don't want Mistress to blame me later." She had grown fond of Sterling Mansion and the couple who made it a warm family.

Butler James smiled, relieved. "I know you are also worried about Mistress, but you don't have to feel down so much. I'm sure she will be able to recover from it." He knew that Simran was close to Mistress Vivienne and felt the sadness that came with her current condition.

But he also knew that Simran had a strong heart and would be able to handle it.

After exchanging a few more words of reassurance, Butler James left to tend to his duties in the Sterling Mansion.

Simran wiped away her tears and took a deep breath, bracing herself for what lay ahead.

As she entered the room where Vivienne was being taken care of, she found Lucien sitting by her side, holding her hand. "Master Sterling, please partake some food to keep your body healthy," Simran said, her voice soft and gentle.

"Master Sterling...Master!" She called out again but received no reply.

She walked closer and saw that he was sleeping, his face etched with worry lines. His grip on Vivienne's hand was tight, as if he was afraid of losing her.

Simran felt a pang of sympathy and sadness for Master Sterling. She knew how much he care for Mistress Vivienne and how hard he was trying to stay strong for her.

But she also knew that he needed to take care of himself if he wanted to be there for Vivienne.

Gently, she placed a tray of food beside him and whispered, "Master Sterling, please eat something. You need to keep your strength up." She waited for a few moments, watching as he stirred in his sleep, before quietly leaving the room.

Simran knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, but she was determined to do everything in her power to help the Sterling family. She walked away with a sense of purpose, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
