In the Know (1)

“Is Professor Miller related to my father somehow?” Keiko gets straight to the point, not wanting to hold back another moment.

“If you’re asking if he’s a direct relative of your father, I can assure you he’s not. I don’t think he’s even met your father before. However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know of him.”

“What exactly do you mean? Does he know who he is, or doesn’t he?” She presses.

“It’s as I just said. He likely knows of your father, that he exists and even the circumstances of their shared name, but I don’t believe he’s ever had direct contact. Not consciously anyway.”

“Ok, so then you’re saying that he really didn’t know who I was before the university, and wasn’t the one who deposited the one million Vampir in my account?” Elie nods. “So, who was then? I’m not the most adept at banking, but I think I at least know that you can’t fraudulently send money under a name that’s not yours.”

“Yes, that’s correct. The banks are pretty anal about those things.”
