The woman before them glares at them with eyes full of malice, but her lips turn into a confident smile. “You certainly are in the know about everything. I’ll admit I’m impressed at how quickly you noticed the shift. It’s almost as though you were expecting it.”

“Well, I know that those with secrets usually rear their heads as soon as my lips start flapping. So yes, you could say that. I might even say I’m impressed you waited this long to interject.”

“Oh? Should I take that as the confirmation that it’s me you actually wanted to meet?”

“Not at all. Frankly, I find Keiko to be far better company and I like her. She’s a good, honest girl and I’ve truthfully had my eye on her since the first day she entered my domain. No, even longer than that. You already know that though, don’t you?” They glare at her intensely.
