“So? Are you saying my ancestors had spiritual abilities too?” She asks this again, unaware of the conversation that had just occurred in her absence and the shift to Elie’s deflated tone.

“I can’t say with certainty princess, but I’m sure that you’d be dead by now if you were an ordinary human. You must not be fully aware of just how powerful a divine goddess truly is.”

Kei thinks about it for a moment, before saying, “Well, even if I’m unordinary, I’m certain that I’m not immortal and neither was my father. As much as I wish I could have him back, I know it’s an impossible dream. I’ll always bear the guilt of letting my sister die and pushing him to the edge as a result. Even if he were alive, I’d be too ashamed to even see him. I’m sure he hates me too. So, I won’t throw away the possibility, but I also can’t believe it either.”
