Spark of Revolution (2)

“Agent Erwin, thank you for coming.” An officer welcomes him. “Please follow me Sir.”

“Of course, thank you.” He follows the officer inside a boutique shop. They make their way towards the back of the shop, but Erwin can’t help but notice all the idle people standing around looking rather disturbed. Most are being questioned by officers, but one man in particular catches his eye, as he seems more uncomfortable than most. He notes this but doesn’t act on it for now.

“Here’s the body Sir. It’s just as it was found. We decided it’d be best to wait for you before we set forensics loose to prod around. Not to mention, this is a special matter relating to your work.”

“Yes…indeed it is.” He notices the officer looking at the body, his face a subtle green despite his calm tone during his report. “First time seeing such a gruesome sight? I remember my first too. I think I was in the can for hours and it gave me nightmares for weeks. It’ll get easier, in time.”
