The next morning, Lynn woke up and he was still next to Dexter, but now their bodies were stuck to each other and Lynn's hand was holding Dexter's waist.
Honestly, if no one knew their situation they'd for sure say that they were a couple.
Lynn stood a bit more before getting up. Luckily, Dexter felt Lynn moving from him and woke up. He felt a bit dizzy, but he was still able to scream after Lynn.
"Where are you going?" he asked with a sleepy voice. Lynn turned around and faced him.
"Nowhere. I wanted to wake you up." Lynn said with a cold expression on his face.
Dexter's eyes widened as he remembered he had to go to work. He wanted to get up as fast as he could, but he didn't even get to make a step because his legs immediately got weak and he collapsed to the ground.
Dexter raised his head at Lynn and spoke: "Why did you bring me to that shit of a man?! It was absolutely brutal!"
Lynn looked indifferently at him before saying: "It was better for you."
"Better for me, you say?!" Dexter spoke while getting up and grabbing the bed so he could stand. "How is this better for me? Just look..."
Lynn scanned again Dexter who didn't seem to have a problem that he was standing naked in front of him. His expression didn't change at all.
Dexter looked a bit hesitant, but he passed by Lynn and left his bedroom saying: "I'm going to take a shower. Don't come after me."
He just stared at Dexter as he went to the bathroom. He thought of doing something good for him and got ready a few clothes he found there and placed them on the bed.
When Dexter got back, he saw the clothes on the bed, but didn't ask any questions and he immediately dressed up.
He left the room and saw Lynn in the kitchen, waiting for him with food all over the table
"What's up with this?" Dexter asked confused.
"I made food. Have a seat and eat. I'll go call someone to come and take you to work." Lynn said as he got up.
"You know you don't have to do this. I don't want your sweet little treatment, you know." Dexter comments.
Lynn glanced at him coldly and went into the living so he could talk to his bodyguard. It didn't take too much time, but when he was back he saw Dexter enjoying the food he prepared for him.
"I didn't know you had any idea to cook." Dexter complained as he stuck his mouth with the delicious meat.
Lynn grinned a little at the corner of his mouth and said "I was on my own, so I pretty much didn't have any choice but to learn to cook for myself. I'm glad you like it."
Lynn waited for Dexter to finish his breakfast and then he went outside the house where the car was waiting for him.
Dexter didn't even say goodbye or something else, he just got up into the car and Lynn's bodyguard drove away.
As the car eased away from his house, Lynn mumbles: "Ha... Idiot." and then enters back into his house.
Back to Dexter, in the car was a deep silence. Lynn's bodyguard just made his job and drove the car as Dexter just stared out the window.
On one side and the other side of the street rose two large fields, full of all kinds of flowers: daffodils, tulips, and even lilies, and among them even a dandelion could be sometimes seen. It was a beautiful sight and Dexter wished he could lie on his back without a care in a field of flowers, probably under the shade of a walnut tree.
He was dreaming with his eyes open, but then he remembered he lived in the normal world, where he wasn't free at all.
Without realizing it, he was soon in front of the cafe that Connor had just opened. Dexter thanked Lynn's bodyguard for bringing him there and then rushed inside.
"Dexy, you're la-" Dexter ran by Connor who didn't even get to speak.
"I'm sorry, Connor! I'm hurrying up! I'm sorry!" Dexter shouted as he went to change.
After he came back, he spotted Connor at the counter and he went to him.
"I'm sorry! I couldn't wake up in the morning. Last night I fell asleep very late and I couldn't wake up. I'm sorry!" Dexter spoke while he scratched the back of his neck.
Connor interrupted him while smiling: "Eh, now come on, don't worry about that. I know you're always here on time and you don't want to be late. Don't worry!"
Dexter smiled back and then they got to work.
A few days passed and there was no sign of Lynn. Dexter thought again that everything had ended and he decided to stop making his life a living hell...
One day, Connor was at the counter washing the last dishes he had to do and waiting for customers to come, and Dexter was helping his boss outside, behind the café.
Before Connor could finish, someone entered the café and made all eyes turn to him.
Connor frowned as he looked at the young man who started walking to the counter. He was a very good-looking man, with long black hair tied up in a ponytail and a few strands left out. The man had the same cold and threatening look he had seen a few days ago, accompanied by two glowing grey eyes that were shining like the craters of the moon in the middle of the night. He wore a black suit with a white shirt and he had sunglasses. He was stunning.
Connor stared at him while everyone behind him whispered and gossiped about the man's looks. He reached the front of the counter. Connor gathered his words and asked: "What are you doing here? The café is restricted for you."
Lynn raised his eyebrow and turned around. He looked at the door but he didn't see anything that could be written on he didn't have access.
"Can you tell me if on my forehead is written 'idiot'? Show me where it says that I can't come in! I'm just a customer like everyone else is... Give me a coffee. The best one you have." Lynn said arrogant.
Connor glared at him with disgust, but he had to make Lynn the coffee he wished for. That's his job, after all.
While Lynn waited, he told Connor: "I have to talk to your friend."
Connor frowned and said: "Again? Dexy's not available"
Lynn glanced at Connor and thought to himself: "Dexy? Since when Dexter had such an abbreviation of his name? It sounds cute."
Lynn said "After he finishes. Tell him to come, please. I'll pick a table and I'll wait for him."
Connor indifferently glared at Lynn, but before handing him his coffee, Dexter appeared running from behind Connor.
"Connor, I need your he-" Dexter wanted to scream but he met Lynn's eyes. He remained stunned for a second seeing how good he looked in a suit and with that hairstyle. He was speechless.
Lynn smirked and said: "Oh, good to see you... Dexy". He emphasized Dexter's name, which made him blush and look at the ground.
Dexter mumbled to himself, blushing harder: "Great time to show up like that..."
Dexter suddenly heard Connor right next to his ear and moved his shoulders: "Dexter! Dexter what's wrong?!"
He raised his look to see Connor's frown face and behind him the jealous face of Lynn.
"This man wants again to talk to you." Connor whispered and looked behind.
Lynn didn't seem to have a problem at all, he was very calm and waited for the two to end their short little conversation.
Lynn gathered his courage and went to the opposite side of the counter, where Lynn was.
"Connor, can you cover me for some minutes?" Dexter asked while standing next to Lynn.
"Uhh... Sure... I'll do it." Connor looked again at Lynn, disgusted.
The two took a table and sat down, facing each other and Lynn started to talk about the subject he had to.
