CHAPTER – 24 Why me ?

Jae POV-

Maam – "who all didn't finish your assignment can leave the class" without a second thought she said

"harshiya what are you standing for ?" " saveetha , sweetha, ajitha ,janet bring your note" she called out our names.

"everyone submit your assignment note" she instructed

I went with my assignment note and she threw it out, I was shocked for a moment

Jae – "maam ?" I told In a confused tone

Maam – "your note is not covered get out"

I took my note and went out

I know everyone else didn't cover the note, but she told only me to step out of the class.

L***A maam POV –

Early this morning I came to school late but when I was going to the staffs room, I saw janet coping something very fastly. I choose to ignore him.

But during the second hour, after finishing 6th std class on my way to the staff room, I saw him sitting In a different class writing something very focused .

And when it was my lecture as I entered the class, I told everyone to come and submit the note but I just pointed few students to come with there notes to check on it and janet was one among them. This is when I noticed that the note that he was writing all this while was the assignment that I gave. (how dare he copies)

I don't know when is this boy gonna learn how to do things.

If he keeps copying the notes from others , then how is he gonna make his own sentence in exam and write ?

I am really worried about him.

Since I wanted to punish him , I told that his note is not covered and made him stand outside.

I know he is gonna hate me. But those are the things that I am supposed to give him as a staff.

Rathika POV-

Today of all day, I got proposed by a stupid fellow on my way to school, but look at me sitting in class with friends with gloomy expression on my face.

This is all happening because of jae's continuous mood swings, that we are going through along with him.

He is having such a terrible time because of our biology teacher these days . its already been 6 months since school has started and soon our mid term exams are gonna come.

The guy who came and spoke to me this morning is not someone who I have seen for a longer period of time, but still I keep thinking about the incident that happened this morning , I wanted to share this to someone that way I will get half the things from my heart, but I can't seem to take it out because , the only person who will hear me out without any kind of judgement is being bullied in school with all sought of things going in and around him.

Since he was punished during the biology hour, he seemed to be very angry, I tried to talk to him but without giving me face he just walked away. (which he usually does)

Though I am trying to understand him, but he doesn't seem to think that way.

Once school was over, I waited for him to come drop me, but he was having other thoughts and was walking his way home.

I ran and holded his hand and told

Rathika – "if you plan on leaving home like this, atleast don't give me hope "

"thanks you , all this while for dropping me " I told those things furiously and left the place

I was about to tear up but choose not to, (in front of him)

I was right in front of the school and I started walking as fast as possible.

I saw the guy from this morning standing right in front of me, I was startled for a moment and stopped walking.

Without any second thought I started walking in a normal pace. I can feel that person coming close to me

*all I can think of right now is , I can't show my weakness to him*

Without looking at his face, I walked my way to my home.

I heard a voice calling me "rathika" I started panicking, for a moment I thought that I walked passed him, but I think I might be wrong.

Once again I heard my name being called "rathika " but this time it was a familiar voice.

I turned to see whom it was , its "jae " who called me.

Hari was standing holding that guys collar.

I tried to leave the place as soon as possible (because i was already mad on jae )

Suddenly jae came and grabbed my hand

Rathika – " listen jae, I have nothing to talk to you about" saying this tears already left my eyes without my permission

Jae – "hey what happened ?" he carelessed my face

Rathika – "take your hands off jae " I tried to move his hand

Jae – " don't be like this, we are on the road " "let me take you home" he tried to cover me from the world seeing my crying face and took my bag from me and started walking.

But I choose to stand in the same location without moving.

When he turned back to look for me, since I was already angry on him he just showed his sign asking me to lead the way

And that's what I expected from him (that's the reason I stood on the same spot)

Jae and hari were talking to one another all the way till they leave me at my place. in a very lower tone possible . (though I could hear all their conversation very clearly)

After a few minutes of walk we finally reached my home.

I stood in front of my gate without speaking anything, but he didn't say a word and handed my bag to me.

He waved his hands towards me, for which I didn't wave back and went inside my home.

I was soooo frustrated and upset by jae's behavior today.

Thinking about it , I went and lied down on my bed
