Mission 03: Nephilim
Location: Hell
Area: Stolas's Mansion
In the morning, Sparda, Dante and Vergil's father drove and parked his car outside the mansion. He got out, closed the car door behind him and rang the front doorbell. In the main hall, the imp butler opened the door and saw Sparda.
IMP BUTLER:
Ah, Mr. Sparda. Come in. The prince will see you shortly.
SPARDA:
Thank you.
Sparda went inside, then the imp butler closed the door behind him and left the main hall. While Sparda was waiting, Stolas walked downstairs and saw his brother. He walked up to Sparda and they happily hugged each other.
STOLAS:
Sparda!
SPARDA:
Stolas!
STOLAS:
My brother! I haven't seen you in a long time!
SPARDA:
Actually, it was five years.
Stolas looked at Sparda's clothes.
STOLAS:
Oh, my God! You haven't worn that since your wedding day.
SPARDA:
Yeah, the rest of my clothes were covered in blood and shit. Is Dante ready?
STOLAS:
Yes. He's in the kitchen having his breakfast.
Stolas called out to his nephew.
STOLAS:
Dante! Your dad's here!
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
I'm coming, uncle!
Stolas turned to his brother.
STOLAS:
Are you sure you have to tell him? He knows his mum is an angel and you're a demon.
SPARDA:
I have to, Stolas. It's the right thing to do. I can't let him end up like Vergil. I must train him to be a devil hunter, so, he can use his powers the same way I did.
STOLAS:
You could tell him... about me and... the imps.
SPARDA:
Stolas, don't bring that up again. We both know what you've done two thousand years ago, and if your wife finds out, she'll be fucking mad and it will break your daughter's heart.
Sparda sighed.
SPARDA:
Just try to keep it to yourself, and I promise I'll tell him after his training.
STOLAS:
Okay.
Dante appeared in the main hall and ran up to his dad and hugged him.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Dad!
SPARDA:
Dante! My son!
Dante looked at his dad.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Dad, it was Vergil. He killed mum and....
SPARDA:
I know. Your uncle told me last night. The important thing is you're safe.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
What were you doing in the Demon World?
SPARDA:
I had my reasons.
STOLAS:
Dante, if you do see your hellhound again and don't know what to do, you can call me anytime. And I'll give you some hot tips... (Seductive) to please her.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):

Sparda looked surprised.
SPARDA:

All right, young man. Get into my car. Oh, and I need my guns back.
Dante gave his dad's guns back, then he and his dad went in the car. Sparda was in the driver seat and Dante was in the back. Dante opened the car window and waved goodbye to Stolas who was waving back at them.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Bye, Uncle Stolas!
STOLAS:
Goodbye, Dante!
Sparda drove his car and left the mansion.
Area: Imp City.
Dante was looking at the city, while Sparda was driving.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Is this a city?
SPARDA:
Yes. We're in Imp City. It's right next to Pentagram City. It's where sinners and hellborns live.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
So, Imp City is where...
SPARDA:
Imps, hellhounds and succubi live. Oh, by the way, the Devil May Cry franchise is number one in hell since 2001.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
You mean my favourite video game is very popular?
SPARDA:
Yes, and it always will be.
Dante looked happy.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):

Area: Loona's Orphanage
Sparda parked his car next to the orphanage.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Dad, why are we at the orphanage? I thought we're going to your summer house.
SPARDA:
We are. We're just making a quick stop. I've signed up to take care of a troubled hellhound who went to the demon world yesterday.
Dante looked surprised.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
You don't mean...
Loona walked up to Sparda and looked shocked when she saw him.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
Sparda?
Loona turned to Dante.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
Dante?
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Loona?
Loona quickly got in the back of the car and embraced Dante.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
I'm so glad to see you again!
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
You're gonna live with us?
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
I'm afraid so. They put me under your dad's care until I get adopted. Which will take forever, but it was fucking worth it!
Sparda looked at Dante and Loona.
SPARDA:
I see you two know each other.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Yeah, I met her in the Demon World yesterday and I've saved her life three times and the Phantom was out.
Sparda smiled and started to drive off.
Area: Paradise (Sparda's Summer House)
Sparda parked his car next to his house, Dante and Loona were surprised at how big the summer house was.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
No way!
Sparda, Dante and Loona got out of the car and looked at the house.
SPARDA:
Well, here we are. My old Summer House. I've called it Paradise. Your mother and I went there on our honeymoon, but now I own it.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
But it looks like a villa.
SPARDA:
That's because it is.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):
Then why did you say it's your summer house?
SPARDA:
Because Eva told me it feels like summer every day when I...
LOONA (Eight Years Old):

Dante nearly laughed and Sparda didn't look very happy.
SPARDA:
Yeah. That.
Sparda opened the front door, then he, Dante and Loona went inside. Sparda gave them a guided tour.
SPARDA:
Living room is here. Dining room is there. The kitchen is over here. The garden is outside. The training hall is next to the garden. And the bedrooms are upstairs. Loona, I have your room ready. So, why don't you make yourself at home, while I'll talk to my son.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):

Loona turned to Dante and started flirting with him.
LOONA (Eight Years Old):

Loona licked Dante's face and went upstairs. Dante looked at his dad.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):

Sparda smiled.
SPARDA:
Don't worry, son. There's no law against that in Hell. Now come and sit down.
Dante and Sparda sat on the sofa.
SPARDA:
Dante, do you remember you mother told you and Vergil that she's an angel and I'm a demon?
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Yes.
SPARDA:
Well, you two are the first new breed, Nephilim. Nephilim is a new race that can only be created by an angel and a demon. And your mother and I were the first to make that happen.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
So, I'm half angel and half demon!
SPARDA:
Yes.
Dante looked confused.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
But I thought I was half human and half demon.
SPARDA:
No. Your physical form is human. When your mother had two sons, one of them was corrupted.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Vergil.
Sparda nodded his head in agreement.
SPARDA:
Yes. We tried everything to keep him stable, but it didn't work. I couldn't choose him to have my powers.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
That's why you chose me.
SPARDA:
Yes.
Dante smiled, while Sparda got up from the sofa.
SPARDA:
Well, come on, son. We got some training to do.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Training! What training?
Area: Sparda's Garden
SPARDA:
I want you to jump into that pool of lava.
Dante looked worried when he saw the lava.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Jump into what now?
SPARDA:
You must prove yourself that you really are a Nephilim.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
But I thought we're gonna do training like sword fighting and shooting guns!
SPARDA:
We are. But your first step of your training is to jump into that lava.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
You mean my first step is to die?! I've being cut, stabbed and shot lots of time and you want me to swim in that lava?! You're fucking crazy!
Sparda didn't look happy.
SPARDA:
You can use that language to anyone in Hell, but not at your old man. And I thought your mother had taught you that. Now, jump!
Sparda pushed Dante into the pool of lava. Dante was trying to swim out of the lava, while he was screaming in pain.
DANTE (Ten Years Old) (Screaming):
Help! Dad! I'm burning! I'm burning!
SPARDA:
You can't burn, you fool! You're a demon!
Dante sunk into the pool of lava and he reached the bottom. Dante looked at his hands and realized his skin didn't dissolve and he can breathe in the lava.
DANTE (Ten Years Old) (Gurgled):
I'm alive!
Dante looked around and saw some demon fishes swimming around and spotted two more having sex. Dante laughed.
DANTE (Ten Years Old) (Gurgled):
Looks like the papa fish is humping the shit out of the mama fish.
Dante swam up and got out of the pool of lava. He looked angry when he saw his dad polishing his Yamato sword. Dante spotted an old sword, picked it up and angrily charged at his dad. After Dante wielded the old sword, he noticed that his dad was gone. Sparda was behind Dante and placed his Yamato sword at his son's neck.
SPARDA:
You can't wield a sword by copying every move you've seen in a video game.
Sparda disarmed Dante and threw the old sword away. Dante looked at his dad.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
Dad, why is swimming in this lava part of my training?
SPARDA:
It's to show you that you can survive in it. And you've completed the first step.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
But I still feel pain.
SPARDA:
You can feel pain like a human, Dante. But you can't die like one. Accept it.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
So, I can only die when someone cuts my head off?
SPARDA:
No, not like in the movies. It's just that you live longer than humans.
Dante didn't look very pleased.
DANTE (Ten Years Old):
I fucking hate you, Dad.
SPARDA:
Good. That is the perfect way to start.
Area: Training Hall
Dante was doing some sword combat with Sparda, while Loona was filming their training on her smartphone. Dante was running with his dad, jumped from wall to wall, sky fall from a tall building and landed on their feet. Dante was doing some shooting practice in the shooting range as well.
Area: Loo Loo Land
Dante, Sparda and Loona were having a great time in the theme park with Stolas, Stella and Octavia.
Area: Stolas's Mansion
Dante, Sparda and Loona spent more time with Stolas and his family at Halloween and the Hell's version of Christmas.
(Sub-Text): Five Years Later
Area: Paradise (Sparda's Summer House)
In the living room, Dante and Loona who were now teenagers were playing DMC: Devil May Cry on PlayStation 4. Then Loona gave Dante his first blowjob in his bedroom.
Dante narrated his story.
DANTE (Narrator):
After years of training with my dad, spending time with my family and Loona, I was ready for the final step.
(Sub-Text): Four ½ Years Later
Area: Sparda's Garden.
Dante, who is now an adult was with his dad, while Loona who was seventeen years old was sitting on a big rock watching them.
SPARDA:
Dante, for nine and the half years of training, you're ready to face the final step. And that is to try and beat me.
Dante smiled.
DANTE:
Dad, you're making this too fucking easy for me.
SPARDA:
Who said it would be fucking easy?
Sparda transformed into his demon form, then Dante and Loona looked surprised.
LOONA:
Whoa!
DANTE:
Dad, I saw you like that in the Demon World!
SPARDA (Demonic Voice):
Yes. What you see is my demon form. I've called it the "Devil Trigger".
DANTE:
You got those words from the game, didn't you?
SPARDA (Demonic Voice):
No, I came up with these words before the game was made. Now show me everything that I taught you.
Dante and Sparda drew their swords, while Loona cheered for Dante.
LOONA:
Win for me, baby!
Dante and Sparda charged at each other and started their battle. Dante dodged from his dad's devil combat moves and attacked him with his training sword. Loona was recording the battle on her smartphone. After Dante won the battle, Sparda changed back into his human form, while he knelt on the ground. Dante walked up to his dad and reached out his hand to him.
DANTE:
You fought well, Dad. Thank you.
Sparda smiled, as he grabbed his son's hand. Dante lifted his dad off the ground.
SPARDA:
Dante, all of your training is now complete, except one.
DANTE:
The Devil Trigger.
SPARDA:
That's right. But you will get it eventually.
Loona ran up to Dante and hugged him.
LOONA (Happily):
Dante! You've won! I can't believe you've won!
Loona kissed Dante passionately.
DANTE:
Well, I found a reason to win. You.
Loona smiled, while Sparda showed two semi-automatic pistols to his son.
SPARDA:
Dante, these are your guns.
After Sparda handed the guns to his son, Dante looked at the names on them.
DANTE:
Ebony and Ivory.
SPARDA:
A friend of mine who made my guns, Luce and Ombra, made Ebony and Ivory just for you.
Dante looked happy.
DANTE:
Thanks, Dad. But what about my own sword?
SPARDA:
You will get that soon.
Dante placed the guns in his pockets, then Sparda gave his son his journal.
SPARDA:
Here, take this as well. It's my journal. It has every bit of information that you'll need and all the corrupted demons' weaknesses that I have seen and slayed.
Dante opened his dad's journal and saw that a page was torn off.
DANTE:
There's a page missing.
SPARDA:
That has information about your uncle and his sexual feelings for imps.
DANTE:
So, he only said he don't have the words to me because...
SPARDA:
He already told me and I wrote his thoughts on my journal. I gave them that page for safe keeping. It's somewhere in his palace.
Dante looked a little worried.
DANTE:
What if Aunt Stella finds out?
Sparda placed his hand on his son's shoulder.
SPARDA:
Well, if she does, it might affect Octavia. But I know you will help her get through this because you're her cousin and you've made her happy like you always do.
Dante smiled to his dad.
SPARDA:
Dante, have you heard of the words, there can be only one?
DANTE:
From a movie, yes. Why?
SPARDA:
After I've sealed Mundus's power, God said to me, there's only one Sparda. As a reward for saving the Living World. He explained that my powers can help sinners and demons in Hell. I was the only one before I met your mother. So, when I'm gone, my powers will pass on to you, and the Yamato sword will be yours.
Sparda showed his Yamato sword to his son. Dante held on to it.
SPARDA:
It's very powerful, son, but I know you will handle it.
DANTE:
I hope so, Dad.
Dante let go of the Yamato sword after Sparda's smartphone rang.
SPARDA:
Excuse me, Son. I've gotta take this call.
Sparda took his phone out of his pocket and answered it.
SPARDA:
Hello? Yes, this is Sparda. What? Someone signed the papers? Who?
Sparda looked at Loona, while he was still on the phone.
SPARDA:
Yes. I'll let her know and bring her back. Bye.
Loona was wondering what the conversation was about after Sparda hung up his phone.
LOONA:
Sparda, who was that?
SPARDA:
Loona, someone at the orphanage signed the papers. You've been adopted.
Loona looked surprised.
LOONA:
Really? Who?
SPARDA:
I don't know, but they told me his name is Blitzo. The o is silent, but they didn't explain it to me. I have to take you back.
LOONA:
Then that means...
Loona turned to Dante.
DANTE:
So, this is goodbye.
Loona looked disappointed.
LOONA:
Shit. I guess the part of me knew it was coming.
SPARDA:
Come on. Let's go together. Then we can say goodbye properly.
Dante, Loona and Sparda left the garden.
Area: Loona's Orphanage
Sparda parked his car. In the back seat, Loona was staring out of the car window looking at the orphanage.
LOONA:
So, is my adoptive dad inside?
SPARDA:
Yes. He's waiting for you.
Loona turned to Dante who looked sad.
LOONA:
Well, I guess this is it.
DANTE:
Yeah. I'm gonna miss you, Loona. I'll miss your red blood eyes. I'll miss your sexy, dark eyelids and most of all, I'll miss the way you snarl at me.
Loona smiled.
LOONA:
Really?
Loona snarled at Dante, and he started to blush.
DANTE:
And I'm also gonna miss you giving me a blowjob.
Loona laughed.
LOONA:
I knew you're gonna say that!
Dante took Vergil's amulet out from his pocket.
DANTE:
Here, take this.
Dante gave Vergil's amulet to Loona who looked confused.
LOONA:
Your brother's amulet? Dante, I can't take this.
DANTE:
Please. So, you'll always remember the times we had together, if you lose my scent.
Loona looked happy when she saw Vergil's amulet.
LOONA:
Thank you for turning my life around, Dante. But there's only one thing I'm gonna miss so much.
DANTE:

LOONA:
This.
Loona gave Dante a long French Kiss. Sparda smiled as he watched them. Dante looked surprised after the kiss.
DANTE:
Goodbye, Loona.
LOONA:
Goodbye, Dante. I'll never forget you and no matter what happens, I promise we'll be together again someday.
Dante smiled.
DANTE:
I know we will.
Loona got out of the car and went inside the orphanage. Sparda looked at his son.
SPARDA:
That was very nice of you to give your brother's amulet to your girlfriend.
DANTE:
If only my mother could see this.
SPARDA:
She can. She's always watching us.
Sparda shook his head.
SPARDA:
Anyway, since most of your training is complete, we're going to start our own business.
DANTE:
What kind of business?
SPARDA:
Well, there is one where they kill sinners from the Living World who deserve to die, but we can have our own that kills corrupted demons that comes to Hell. All we need is a name, a receptionist and advertisement.
DANTE:
What about Devil May Cry. It'll be just like the video game, but different.
Sparda smiled.
SPARDA:
I'll think about it. But first, what do you want to eat?
DANTE:
Pizza and strawberry sundae.
SPARDA:
You got it, son.
Sparda drove his car away from the orphanage and went to the city.
Dante and Blitzo narrated the ending.
DANTE (Narrator):
I've completed my training with my dad. Well, almost. But I spent more time with my family, but Loona and I have been together for nearly ten years, until we went our separate ways. I don't care how many hellhounds or other demons she'll have sex with. I believe her promise will never be broken because our love will last forever. Until next mission: Devil Trigger.
BLITZO (Narrator):
And that was the day I adopted Loona and she became my receptionist!
DANTE (Narrator):
Everybody who's seen your fucking show knows that, Blitzo!
