Her Death 2

"Aaah! ahahahaha...." a self mockery laughter echoed in the woods as Helena fell on her knees with a thick black mist slowly engulfing her entire body. No emotion could be sensed from her pale but beautiful face as an unbearable pain spread through her body quietly.

Helena's heart ached as she looked up at the dark and starless sky. Here she was, being victimized, betrayed by her own best friend. If only she hadn't been blinded by love and trust, she wouldn't end up like this. If only she could turn back the hand of time, she vowed never to make the same mistake again. Alas, there was nothing else for her to do but to accept her fate.

Was this how she was going to die?

However....

Looking back from the onset of this dilemma, she wouldn't need a soothsayer to tell her that all those symbolized white doves she had been receiving were Michelle's doing.

"Ohh....you're such a big fool, you were well played Helena." She scolded herself inwardly.

She had been a fool to believe that what she and Michelle had was a relationship between sisters. She had been a damn fool not to notice when her jealousy grew to the level of betraying her.

"I... I really..... underestimated you Louis.''

Louis only smiled. Michelle had told him about this plan and it seems to work out perfectly fine. They were best friends after all. With a proud smirk, He sauntered towards Helena and squatted to her level.

"You really did...." He said with a smirk. Placing his left palm on her shoulder, he stood up facing the rest of the members whose faces were full of disdain except Lucas whose face was unreadable.

"As you all know the laws of our clan and that the law breakers wouldn't leave unpunished. Standing before the supreme witches of this coven, I hereby announce that Helena Hills will be buried alive as a punishment of practicing black magic which is against the laws of our clan!" Louis announced.

What!

Buried alive??!

The moment Helen heard those words, she felt like all her defenses collapsed at that very instant. Was condemning her to death not enough? But they were putting her to death in the most humiliating way ever in the history of Dark North Clan!

Being burnt to death was what she thought was going to be her fate as it was the most dreadful punishment ever given to a witch for ever practicing black magic in Dark North clan, at the very least her remains would be blown away by the wind. But she never thought Louis was vicious enough to condemn her to death by being buried alive.

However....

It doesn't matter anymore. She was dying anyway and however she died didn't matter anymore. She was getting weaker and weaker as all her energy were devoured by the black mist which didn't seem like it's dispersing anytime soon.

" I admit that practicing black magic is against the law but this punishment is too absurd. Are we really overlooking all that she's done for our clan. I suggest we exile her from Dark North Clan or burn her alive but Burying her alive is never our law Louis." Lucas said taking a glance at Helena.

"Exile Her? why should she be exiled? What if something bad happens in our clan if we exile her? And why should she be an exception from those who had committed the same felony she did?" Graciela questioned him immediately.

"All I know is for us to do the right thing and if you all are in this treachery together then am out of here. I can never be a part of this!" Lucas said as he left abruptly.

Michelle didn't say a word, why would she say a word when she is the master mind of everything that is happening. Even if Lucas left, that wouldn't ruin their plans for Helena that night.

As for Helena, sadness and pains could be seen on her pale face which was full of beads of sweat as they discussed about her fate like she wasn't even there. She had just recently bonded with her daughter Kimberly. If she had know she was going to die, she'd have spent so much time with her, but it was too late to cry over a spilled milk.

"How was she going to cope without anyone by her side?" Helena thought within herself as a tear slid down her face.

However....

This is not the end yet! She has to fight!

If not for anyone but for her only daughter who she mustn't leave behind to the cruel hands of the Dark North clan!

Slowly, she lifted her head. Ignoring all the pains she was feeling, she casted a spell.

At the same moment all her body heated up as if all her bones were being twisted to the wrong side and her chest felt like it was being stabbed. She tried to summon the wind to do her bidding but all her efforts were wasted because nothing seemed to moved which was credited to the sacred staff hidden in Louis's inner cloak. No one noticed except Louis who smirked devilishly. He had seen that coming.

She tried again, this time it hurt more than the first try. Her head kept pounding and pounding as she tried to summon the rain this time but she failed. She tired again and again but her magic didn't work.

At that time, she felt a warm liquid run down her nose and ears. Slowly lifting her hand and Rubbing it off, the fresh red blood stained the back of her palm. She kept trying. Her concentration was wavering, her heart aching with pains and her head pounding. Still, she kept trying.

She knew summoning the wind and water at that time was never a good idea because it made her pains worse and to include the reason she had tried to summon it which was never for good but she had no other choice.

Before she could take another breath."Hocus mojo sala metes sim sala bim...." Louis and the five other members chanted in unison as they made a death symbol with their hands hanging in the air above their heads. Their black cloak which curled around their backs blending into the darkness of the night making the scenario more dreadful.

However...

At that instant, the wind howled, the earth trembled making the trees sway. Suddenly, it started raining heavily. The black mists surrounding her dispersed but the pains never ceased.

"Seize her.." Louis ordered.

Immediately, two of the minions who serves at Salem's lair came and took Helena from both arms as they dragged her to the part of Salem's lair called dead land.

On getting there, they left her arm and the damp soil greeted Helena as she slumped to the ground breathing heavily. Lifting her head to see a well dug grave and she sighed. Each drop of rain falling on her skin that moment felt very painful despite the black cloak covering her body.

" I swear to you, just pray I don't survive or get reincarnated after all of this because if I do, am going to make sure that I make all of you pay and this is not a mere threats. It's a promise!" She swore. The hate in her eyes was something no one could tell.

The hatred she had for Dark North clan had grown to the peak, she is going to make them pay with their own blood for making her go through such pains like this!

" why do you think we chose this way to condemn you?" She head someone say and raising head she saw Michelle looking at her hatefully.

"Ha... that's because you will never leave this place alive and reincarnated? Hahaha.... don't get your hopes high Helena because we both know that had never happened before and with this felony of yours, it's a Never dear friend." Michelle said.

"F...Finally, the sheep have grown a fang..." Helena smiled bitterly. She was almost out of breath as all her body was being devoured with excruciating pains and the Necklace of doom was still activated.

Every witch in the Salem's lair there that night couldn't hide the expectations in their eyes as they all stood round the six supreme witches of their clan waiting for the final verdict for Helena, the most powerful witch of their clan.

Some were in doubt if the accusation were true but since the said accusation has been proved with the Necklace of doom, they couldn't do anything but watch.

"Ahaha... y..you win... Michelle, you win." Helena announced as she closed her eyes slowly.

Looking back through her life, she recalled countless regrets. Looking up to see the dark sky which was weeping as a way to comfort her of misery. She smiled again bitterly as finally gave in to fatigue.

However....

At that very moment, Louis made a hand gesture to the minions who had brought Helena to the dead land. Immediately they took hold of her whispering the familiar death spells and making her fall into the already dug grave.

" is this... is this it?" Helena inwardly asked the heavens as she laid in the pool of a damp mound inside the deep grave, laughing bitterly at her fate. She could neither move nor talk. She had no strength to do so.

Memories of her life passing swiftly like a flash in her eyes. Suddenly, she felt a slight damp sand land on her, snapping her out to reality and it immediately was followed by another and another landing continuously on her body from all sides. No part was left out.

She tried looking up at least to see their faces but she couldn't see anything as her vision became blurry, the rain and sand couldn't let her. Adding to the profundity of the grave, it was impossible for her.

Life was leaving her slowly. Her breath was hitching as the witches of the Dark North clan filled her up inside the grave. Each sand making a contact with her body came with each kind of weight and pain that she couldn't help but groan weakly.

Before she could take a breath, she choked. She couldn't breath as there was no air to inhale. She kept struggling for breath till darkness snatch her last breath away.

Helena, the most powerful witch of Dark North clan was dead.
