Her Rebirth 1

Lights of different colors shines on the dance floor, sweaty, drunken adults coiled tightly together as they jumped and danced to the beats of the music. A birthday house party was going on.

Sitting at one dangerous corner of the house were three intoxicated adults laughing and chatting without any care in world.

One was the celebrant and the two others were the most important people in her life at that moment, which were "Kiara" her best friend since diapers and "James", her fiancé whose house was hosted that party that night.

"Kim you are drunk already, I think we need to go upstairs and have some rest." James said and Kimberly chuckled ignoring him.

"Ara, pour me more drink, I need to get drunk!"She said taking her glass to Kiara who only nodded.

After getting her glass filled and drinking from it. She staggered as she made to stand from her seat heading to the restroom. She knew she was drunk but she just couldn't help it. She was nervous, she planned on giving her fiancé her virginity that night as a surprise for being the best fiancé ever since the start of their relationship.

Getting to the restroom, Kimberly went to the ensuite washroom and looked at her face. Looking at herself made her body shiver. Though she just added eighteen, it didn't obscure her gorgeousness. Slowly, she strengthened her body slightly staring at her reflection.

"Kim.... you can do this, okay?" She said to herself. Taking a deep breath, she stepped out of the restroom going back to the party.

On getting there, she saw neither her fiancé nor her best friend except for the others who weren't much familiar to her either dancing or chatting sparing her a little glance since she was the reason they were there that night.

"Where could they be...?" She muttered looking around from where she stood but she didn't see any of them.

Minutes passed, but they were still nowhere to be found. She decided to search for them.

Searching through all the rooms, balcony and everywhere she could think of. Still, she didn't see them. Going back to the party, she suddenly halted her steps as she saw the familiar door that leads to the rooftop.

Getting to the door, she tried opening it but it refused. She tried again but it didn't budge. Then, she kicked the door angrily.

The door swung opened and a girl came out, she squinted her eyes as she looked at her in confusion. Eyeing her from head to toe, her hair was messy and she reeks of alcohol as she made way for her to enter the rooftop.

On getting inside, she couldn't help but wonder if there was another mini party going on there. She could see smokes everywhere as most guys including the ladies each had a stick of cigarette caught between their fingers.

What the hell!

Looking around she realized that she couldn't recognize almost every single person at that rooftop. No one glanced at her as the birthday girl. Some were busy drinking and smoking away while some were busy making out.

However....

She was not there for any of that. Walking around she didn't see the people she was looking for.

Suddenly, she heard a faint noise coming from a corner of the rooftop and walked there slowly. Inching closer, she heard a female voice which sounded familiar.

Immediately she got there, what she saw made her froze. Life momentarily left her soul at the scene in front of her.

James and Kiara were both making out with each other as though they would fuck right there.

Her legs wobbled and she staggered almost falling down on her knees, still staring at the duo who were oblivious of her presence.

"No this can't be true... James can't cheat on me with her?" She said to herself not believing what is happening in front of her.

Tears came falling like a river, her eyes widened the more as the scene felt unreal to her. Hell No! She can't believe this!

But reality was there glaring at her!

"James..." She called more like a whisper, her voice had no strength any more. Tears falling more and more.

"James!!!" She yelled louder this time, gaining the attention of the others that was there.

At once, James and Kiara stopped making out.

Immediately, they turned their heads and both widened their eyes seeing Kimberly before them.

"K... Kim," James stuttered. Getting to his feet, he inches closer to her.

As for Kiara who was half naked. She was not left out too, she was shocked to find Kimberly in front of her.

"How? How could you do this to me?" Kimberly's lips trembled as she spoke.

"Babe, I can explain okay? I... I was drunk and.... " James tried saying but a deafening slap landed on his cheeks. It was useless trying to cover up as she already witnessed the scene of them making out. Her eyes held nothing but hate, sadness, disappointment and hurt.

"How could you? With my best friend?" She screamed at him.

"What the hell!" James's buddy Darrel, who was there snapped.

"I'm sorry... I..." James said with his eyes closed.

"Sorry? Is that all you have to say after you are done fucking my best friend behind my back?! How could you be so heartless?! At least you could found anyone else not my best friend?!" Kimberly yelled.

Turning to Kiara in disappointment and a hot slap landed on her left cheek, deafening her immediately.

"You.... I... I thought you were my friend, I never knew you were nothing but an enemy to me. I was the fool here for taking you for a friend more like a sister.... I was the damn fool!" Kimberly screamed in tears as she glared at duo before storming out of the rooftop in anger.

Immediately, James quickly went after her.

"Wait... James has another girlfriend?!" Darrel could help but asked.

"And they were besties?" He asked again staring with a wide eyes at Kiara who fell on her knees biting her lips hard.

Meanwhile...

"Kim!"

"Kim!"

"Babe, please stop and hear me out please?!" James yelled as he went after her.

Halting her steps, Kimberly turned to him. Her eyes were swollen with tears.

James felt bad immediately he saw her tears and guilt ate him up instantly. With the dimmed light he could see the stains of tears on her face and he felt guilty all over again.

"Babe... I'm really sorry, I was wrong..."

"For.. how long has this been going on..." She cut him as she asked slowly.

"Babe.."

"Fucking answer the damn question!" Kimberly yelled at him.

"Since her birthday...." James mumbled trying his best to avoid her shocked eyes.

"Her birthday.... that would be two months ago..." She said as she stared at him in disbelief.

"You were dating her when you proposed to me too?" She asked. She could feel her heart being stabbed to pieces as she spoke.

James closed his eyes tightly as he balled his hands into a fist.

"I... we...."

Out of words Kimberly ran out of the house immediately.

"Shit! Kim!!!" James went after her but suddenly she disappeared into the darkness of the night. There were no trace of her.

"Shit!" He cursed as he threw a fist in the air angrily.

Meanwhile....

Kimberly sobbed as she walked on the road, it was already very late. Looking at the starless sky, it may start raining any time soon but she cared less. She was hurt, her heart was throbbing with pain that she felt she might pass out any moment.

"Urgghhh.....!!" She bent on her knees as she wrapped her arms round herself crying bitterly.

Not in her wildest dream will she ever imagine Kiara betraying her that way. To think she loved both of them so much.

She clutched her chest tightly as fresh tears kept streaming down her cheeks.She should have known when things changed around her, she should have known! Their little actions would have told her but she was too blind by love and trust to have noticed.

"How could you be so naive Kim!" She slapped herself mentally.

"I still don't believe this, I still don't...." she shook her head as she cried bitterly walking into the road.

Plok! Plok! Plok!

All of a sudden, it started raining but not heavily. She brought out her phone to check if there was any message from James,but there was none.

"Just as expected... that bastard." She mumbled inserting the phone back into her bag.

Taking out her phone again to call her mum whom she suddenly started missing...

When however....

Slowly raising her head she saw a sparking light shining on her eyes from a little distance. She closed her eyes immediately as the light was too glaring for her swollen eyes, it made her not to see clearly. Squinting her eyes a little she saw a car dashing towards her horning.

Before she could get off the road, the car hit her as she somersaulted falling to the ground, blood dripping from her head as she struggled for life.

"Help... some..body... he..lp." She called in a whisper as she choked on her own blood.
