She was losing a lot of her blood with her injuries yet she was still alive. Maybe the heavens had spared her a few more minutes just to see the duo which she had love and trusted betray her.
Kimberly raised her eyes slightly on her pale but beautiful face, a pair of deep eyes took a glimpse towards their retreating backs as her eyes made for a close look.
All she saw was the back of her fiancé James and her best friend Kiara moving back to the exact car that ran her over. As they rode out of there, there seemed to be another person inside the car but that person was unknown to her as he or she never stepped out.
She smiled bitterly as she closed her eyes sighing deeply, letting the night rain droplets engulf her. It was like she was entombed in an infinite abyss without a hint of ever getting out.
Was this heaven? Or was this hell, she wondered.
However...
She knew she was done for. Wherever she ended up in the afterlife was of no importance. With her eyes closed, only darkness abound. She remained suspended as the waves of space and time engulf her entirely.
Suddenly...
At that instant, a golden light shot down from the sky and dashed towards her.
Time seem to stop in that moment.
The rain droplets suspended in the mid air and a shadow appeared.
It was a soul which slowly turned to a woman with astonishing beauty dressed in an ancient red cloak. She just stood beside Kimberly's lifeless body quietly staring at her pale face which looks exactly like hers just that the former was younger.
That soul was Helena Hills the powerful witch of Dark North clan but something was strange. She could hardly recognize her daughter as she was just a soul without memories. She just stood there staring at the particular body and face that looks like hers with no emotion. The red cloak she wore was not touching the earth surface rather was suspended in the air.
"Found you."
Her melodious voice was softened by the atmosphere. She slowly squatted down and touched Kimberly's bloody face, then slowly move to her chest, gently placing her right palm there.
A trace of ash green sparkled in her eyes as she gave off a cold aura.
"It stopped."
With an indifferent expression, wisps of aura started emerging continuously from her palm and surging slowly into Kimberly's body, healing up all her wounds slowly.
SWUUAASH!
A streak of golden light mixed with a bright blue light glowed on the woman's palm placed on Kimberly's chest. Slowly, it formed a golden pearl. Removing her palm, she slowly placed her right thumb on Kimberly's forehead at the area between her brows.
The next moment, the golden pearl glowed and diffused into the area softly.
Minutes passed, the woman started fading slowly forming wisps of golden light gradually surging into Kimberly's body.
Immediately the golden light surged into her body completely, things returned as they were before as if nothing happened. All of a sudden, the siren of an ambulance could be heard arriving at the area the accident took place.
Meanwhile...
The next time Helena opened her eyes, she shut it immediately because the light that welcomed her was too glaring. She had to try opening her eyes several times to get used to it. When she did manage to open her eyes, it was blurry at first, then it took time for her vision to focus.
She had no idea where she was and how long had passed since she succumbed to darkness.
As soon as she could see clearly she was shocked. She was no longer at Salem's lair dead land...
How was this possible?
She was dead. Was she not?
What happened?
Her eyes scanned the unfamiliar place throughly. Instinctively, she shifted her gaze to notice that an IV was attached to her right hand and she was on a light blue hospital gown. She opened her eyes wider in shock, unable to believe what she is witnessing as she tried to move her limps to get up.
Suddenly, a sharp pain hit her head as shards of memories appeared and she frowned. It was as if those memories were hers but in a different view. Her eyes widened upon realizing that these memories were not hers but her daughter's.
Her frown deepened the more as more and more shards of her daughter's awful memories came to her, engraving all the events in her mind and becoming her own.
However...
She cried her eyes out as the last shard of her daughter's memory finished. Although, she couldn't understand the essence of this, but every single piece of the memories including the people had all gone into Helena's memory.
Taking a glance at the wall clock inside the ward. It shows that it's been 48 hours since she was brought to the hospital.
She slowly got up from the hospital bed as she limped to the washroom. As soon as she looked at herself in the mirror, she nearly passed out. To say she was shocked was an understatement, she was dumbfounded.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, all she could see was her daughter, Kimberly's reflection.
No....
This felt too real to be a dream. She touched her face and immediately on the tap. Splashing a little amount of water on her face before looking back at the mirror. Only for the reflection to do the exact same thing she did and she staggered.
So this explains all those memories that hit her minutes ago. She transmigrated into her daughter's body!
Looking at her new reflection now, she couldn't help but tremble. This was her daughter's reflection not her's.
Shouldn't she be grateful that she transmigrated into her daughter's body rather than into a stranger's? Did her daughter's soul transmigrate into another person's body? How was she too lucky to be granted a second chance at life?
All these thoughts ran through Helena at this moment as she stared at her reflection. The slight temperament of her old face was gone and only the youthful and beautiful face of her daughter was reflected in the mirror. She was still finding it hard to believe. She never thought that the Heavens would be so kind enough to hear her cries and grant her dying wish.
It was true that she was no longer Helena Hills but the thought of being able to live daughter's life and avenging her death was enough to bring an immense joy in her heart.
However....
Memories of her daughter's resentment against her fiancé and best friend flooded Helen's mind. She vowed to make sure to make James's and Kiara's life miserable in this lifetime. She couldn't forget what they did to her. Never!
"You both will never know what's coming for you..." She thought as she fisted her hands.
Now that she was given a second chance, she will never make those mistakes again. She had been so foolish in the past but not anymore. She will never let go of her resentment towards those people who ruined not only her life, but also her daughter's life. She would make sure to play her cards well this time!
However...
Something was strange.
How was she able to stand and walk so soon with that type of accident? Truly, she could feel the pain in some part of her body especially her head that she used in the fall during the accident but the pain was bearable for her, which was extremely strange.
Looking at her bandaged head and left leg. All she could see was a little scratches that would take only but few days to heal completely. She was glad that she could leave the hospital in a few days, much to her annoyance.
The nurse on duty who came to check on her saw that she was already awake, she went out to call the doctor immediately.
After the doctor was done with the check up. He was amazed as he confirmed that Helena would be discharged in a few days. Before he exited the ward with nurse in charge, he couldn't help but take a second serious glance at Helena who only nodded to all the instructions he gave to her concerning her health.
"Miss Hills, you are lucky that someone made an emergency call on your behalf. Otherwise, we aren't sure if we could have saved you in time. Make sure to abstain from drinking excessively and lastly, don't keep late nights in the future." The doctor said as soon as he was done and left with the nurse in charge.
Someone made a call on her behalf?
Who could that be?
She didn't see anyone else apart from the duo that cause her accident....
Wait! There was someone else but she didn't see him or her. Could he or she be the one? She wondered.
Suddenly, the door of the ward swung open and Michelle, Her best friend entered.
