Leaving Paris

Daniel and Erin got back to the hotel room and took off their jackets.

Daniel made himself a drink and sat outside in the terrace smoking.

Erin got undressed and looked in her bag for something to wear. She put on a cotton night dress and got into bed.

She flicked through the stations on the television trying to find something in English.

Eventually she turned off the TV, and watched Daniel from the window.

He sat alone thinking by himself. She wondered what he was thinking about.

Erin felt relieved that Daniel hadn't mentioned owning Yang Group.

One of the main things Josephine Parker always lectured Erin on, was that as a woman you should be financially independent and rely on no man.

Erin wanted her mother, and everyone, to know that she was moving up in her career because she earned it; not because she was dating a billionaire.
