The Accident

It was the weekend,

Erin had slept in late. She woke from a dream-filled sleep and stretched out on the wide bed, pressing the remote to bring the blinds up.

The blinds lifted slowly with a low humming sound and uncovered the futuristic city view beyond the glass windows.

Erin lay back and shielded her eyes from the blinding sun as it reflected off the mirrored buildings, standing tall like spears piercing the cloudy sky.

...

She checked the time, it was already ten.

Daniel should be back soon, she thought.

She jumped out of bed excitedly and entered the bathroom. Turning on the hot water in the rain-like shower and removing her clothes.

The hot water shocked her skin at first, so she rubbed her body creating some friction and quickly adapted to the temperature.

Erin made sure to clean and moisturize every inch of her body, until she was slippery-smooth. She wanted to drag Daniel to bed the minute she saw him, and the waiting around was killing her.
