The food arrived at the table and William poured another glass of wine for himself.

"So Miss Liang, you can begin tutoring Julie on Monday after school."

Lina stopped eating and covered her mouth, "Uh.. Sir, I actually came to explain that I won't be able to tutor Julie. Plus, Julie is a very smart girl, she doesn't really need a tutor."

"But she does," he insisted, "And the fact that you came tonight tells me that you're considering it." he smiled.

"What? No... I ..." she tripped over her words.

"Listen Miss Liang," he pushed an envelope towards her. "This is the starting salary, but if all goes well we can definitely increase the lessons and the money, of course."

Her eyes widened when she saw the number but she quickly stuffed the paper back inside.

"Sir, it's too much... I can't accept this."

"I checked your qualifications and considered your experience at the school. Plus you already have a relationship with Julie, you can talk to her and be a good role model for her."
