154 So Secretive

"Do you think so? Tell me Lina after your mother died, what did your father do with her things?"

"He um... He grieved for a year, but then he packed it all away in boxes."

"Right," Wendy said raising her eyebrows, "And he remarried, yes?"

Lina began crying louder, she couldn't contain her emotions anymore.

"Everyone grieves differently," she sobbed, "We can't judge him..."

Wendy hit her suddenly, smacking her arm.

"Wake up Lina! Look at this place! He comes here to smell her perfume and look at her things. He's still not over her. Look at this bed! While you're sleeping in a hotel room he's been keeping this bedroom a secret from you, still full of her clothes and her underwear. If he hasn't opened his home to you, what makes you think you have his heart?"

Lina couldn't believe it. She had a point.

The fact that he'd never mentioned it seemed so suspicious.

"Why didn't he tell me?" she asked.
