At the toll booth

Su didn't notice anyone else around the toll booth. Alek said there was the possibility of security being around, but so far it was just the toll booth operator. Still, Alek did have a good point of being scared. Even though there was no news announcement about his disappearance, the authorities could already have been alerted.

She turns off the radio and approaches the toll booth. She was putting on a fake smile as if everything was okay. She takes out some bills and inserts them into the money slot. The money was accepted as the gates go up. Then suddenly sirens were being heard behind her. The gate was fully up but she knew she could not go. She had to remain or she would be seen as suspicious.

The police car stops right behind her car as the police officer exits the vehicle and approaches the car.

"Hello, Miss," he says.

"Hello, Officer. How can I help you?"
