Amaia pov

I was running from the wolf I had killed, and that was the last still I was out of the pack. I didn’t even wanna look back. Else I would feel so hurt, that’s why I didn’t. I turned my back against them as I ran. Running into the woods for my safety. That was where I was going. There I would be safe and I won’t have to feel the guilt. Though my hands quivered as I ran. But I neglected it. It didn’t matter right now, what matters was that I was going home. That was where I was running to.

I didn’t like myself like this, the only thing I enjoyed was killing wolves. I didn’t want that but I’ve said it a thousand times I can’t change who I’m.

“Amaia..?” Louis called shocked when he found me staring at our tree house. He was training himself outside of the house that night. I was all sweaty because I didn’t give a break in my running.

“I told you I was gonna come back.”

“You came.”

And he took me out by surprise, hugging me.

I didn’t expect him to.

“I’m sorry I hurt you then, I thought you might not want to come back to us. Seeing how obsessed you’ve been on seeing the alpha.”

“You should trust me.” I was obsessed with the thought of killing him not staying with him. He didn’t get that.

He hugged me tighter. It did feel warm and nice. He pulled away when we heard Mark coughed from behind us.

“You think you’re the only one who wanna hug her. Why do you always like doing that to me. You deprived me of so many things.”

“Just Shut up.”

“He won’t stop nagging me ever since we came back home.”

I chuckled. It was good to see them. Those people I was comfortable with. That I didn’t want to hurt. Mark hugged me too, Louis pulled him away from me the next second his body touched mine.

“Isn’t that unfair?” He grumbled trying to free himself from Louis's grip, which was still on his arm.

“How did you escape? Isn’t he following you or any of the wolves?”

“Nobody is following me.”

But they would come for us soon, I had stabbed their Alpha after all. They won’t just let me go free after what I did. They would come for me, he had let me off when I had jumped down the tower maybe because the alpha was lying on the ground and he needed urgent attention. So he doesn’t end up dying.

He didn’t even fight with me or shift to his wolf form. He let me off. That baffled me.

They all did, and it made me feel so much guilt and ashamed of myself why I had done something like that.

“I just escaped.”

“You couldn’t just escape those wolves. They’re strong and the alpha too, he won’t let you go so easily when he said you traded your freedom with ours. Don’t you think it’s too risky you came back here?”

“Why is it risky?”

“Because The Alpha will find you. He will.”

“If he should come we should be ready to face him.”

“What are you saying, Louis. Can you fight the alpha? He’s the alpha you don’t seem to be getting that.”

“And so what if he’s the Alpha. He won’t come here to take her away from us.”

“And what if he did, can you stop him.”

“What makes you think I can’t.”

“Guys enough.”

I had to come in. Because they could go on and then start yelling and next they would fight Louis would give him a few punches and Mark would be all over bawling.

He knew he didn’t have a stand where Louis was, he keeps getting stronger each time. He seems to struggle with himself so much like he wanted to do better and better. Though he was doing just fine. He could challenge Franco I was certain. I wasn’t sure about the alpha because I haven’t seen him shift but I could feel the power he held. That he was strong. Not just a weak alpha. My dagger won’t have done much harm to him if it had been just an ordinary dagger mine was different because my power was in It. That was why I was able to hurt him that much else if I had been an ordinary wolf I would’ve been the one one the ground and not him.

“Louis never listens..”

“Can we not talk about this. I’m here that’s what matters. Let’s forget about the alpha coming here or not.”

“That’s just the possibilities.”

“You liked her being there didn’t you?” Louis asked. There I was thrown out of their conversation again.

“She would be safe there. And she saved us. It’s not like I wanted her to stay there. I just thought she needed a better life. She was the only one who had never been in a pack or knows what it looks like. I thought this was an opportunity for her. Ain’t we being greedy if we let her stay here when we can’t offer her anything and putting her and ourselves at risk.”

“I don’t care if it seems greedy. She won’t leave here.”

“Why, she’s not even your mate. Didn’t you see the way the Alpha looked at her with so much affection? She was better off there than here.”

Louis couldn’t take it anymore. As he grabbed Mark by the collar. Mark said what he had to. He wasn’t the type not to say something that doesn’t sit right with him.

Neither did What he said was wrong. And the fact that they Alpha stares at me affectionately didn’t sit well with me because I did noticed those gaze of his. Which do makes my stomach churns.

I couldn’t stay in the pack. Because I didn’t know how to control myself. That’s why I won’t fit in there. I would keep causing trouble and would keep trying to hurt the Alpha. I shouldn’t have come here because I was putting them at risk as he had said. I didn’t know my life would change when I met the Alpha. It’s a chance we can’t stop.

I came in between the boys, pulling them away from each other.

“You shouldn’t fight. Mark isn’t wrong can we just go in, I’m tired already. But if you still wanna fight after I’m gone. You can suit yourself.”

I walked away from them. I was tired from the running I did and my heart was tired as well. Just as I was.

I couldn’t run away from the Alpha, as far as he was alive. He would come for me. That was for certain.

Just as I had said it the Alpha did come and surrounded our pack house with his warriors.

And brought down the place we called home.

That was when I knew.

I couldn’t run forever! Neither could I hide who I was. I would fight it anymore, but let fate take is cause that was how they bundle me up like the traitor I was out of the woods. Back to the place I was running from.

To the Alpha Zyair of Salmon pack.
