CHAPTER 16

CLIVE

The hours passed, and I sat on the bedside table, thinking and strategizing. The security breach was something I was taking very seriously. That someone could access my room meant that I was in grave danger. I had to do something about it.

Like I promised I stayed with Claret throughout her sleep until she woke up. She smiled up at me, her white teeth gleaming. I leaned down to give her a kiss but she blocked my lips with her hand.

"Morning breath," she giggled and covered her breath. I gently tried to pull her hand away and she giggled more, but didn't budge.

"I don't care, come on. Let me kiss those beautiful lips of yours," I said.

She giggled and shook her head. I rolled my eyes and yanked her hand away and slammed my lips to hers. She returned the kiss immediately.

Wrapping my arms around her waist I pulled her on top of me and gripped her waist. She gasped and gripped my shoulders.
