Chapter 6: this meal treat!

At that moment, after Luke uttered those words, his classmates disregarded him and threw a series of mocking expressions at him.

At this time, Allan Zhang also noticed Luke's little scheme and shouted directly, "Luke is a cheapskate! He definitely won't pay the bill for you guys."

However, after a while, when he went to pay the bill, he glanced at it and was shocked:

The bill for the table was a whopping 2 dollars!

It was a classmates' gathering, and their middle school classmates turned pale, and the atmosphere grew tense. Even the usually confident Allan Zhang began to panic, afraid that he would not have much money left after paying the bill. After all, they had ordered so many dishes without checking the prices. Some dishes cost 1 cent or even almost 1 dime, and they hadn't even considered the $1 bottle of 1982 Lafite.

Seeing this scene, Luke couldn't help but laugh secretly. Then, he calmly took out his wallet, pulled out a 10-dollar banknote from several 100-dollar bills, and said nonchalantly:

"I'll pay the bill for this table!"

At this point, his middle school classmates were all stunned. To them, 10 dollars was the equivalent of 1 million dollars in the past, which they had rarely seen. Even someone like Allan Zhang had only seen it a few times. Immediately, their disdainful gazes towards Luke turned into envious ones, and they exclaimed, "Luke is so rich! He can even afford such a rare large-denomination banknote." Then, they watched eagerly as he handed the crumpled 10-dollar banknote to the waiter to pay the bill.

However, at this moment, the waiter confirmed the denomination and said nervously:

"Sir, your denomination is too large, and I can't give you change for the remaining 7 dollars. I need to contact my supervisor to confirm."

After a few minutes, the restaurant manager came over, bowed respectfully to Luke, and said, "We currently don't have such a large denomination. How about we convert the remaining 7 dollars into our restaurant's Supreme VIP membership card?"

Luke was skeptical, but the manager continued, "This VIP card has a minimum spending threshold of 1 dollar, and there are only a few hundred people in our restaurant who have it. With this card, you'll get a 10% discount on all future visits, priority in ordering and serving dishes, and the ability to reserve private rooms without making a reservation. All you have to do is give us a heads-up."

After some thought, Luke agreed to the proposal, as 10 dollar was nothing to him. At this point, his middle school classmates' eyes sparkled with excitement. Some wanted Luke to be their godfather, while others wanted to date him, but Luke ignored them all.

Now, even Allan Zhang, who had always looked down on him, began to take him seriously. He changed his attitude and said, "I never thought you'd be so rich, Luke. I guess I was wrong about you. Let's just forget about the past and move on."

Of course, Luke was a magnanimous person and never held grudges over past events.

At this moment, Luke suddenly called on his middle school classmates, "From now on, we're all one big family! I'll be your big brother, ok?"

They all answered in unison, "Okay! You'll be our eternal big brother from Class 2 of Grade 3!"

Luke had managed to win over his middle school classmates' hearts with his display of wealth. In an instant, he went from being despised by everyone to being their idol, even winning over the notoriously difficult Allan Zhang, the class leader.

The class reunion continued until around 11 p.m., when it finally came to an end. Everyone waved goodbye to Luke and went their separate ways, returning to their respective homes.

Just as Luke was about to head home, he spotted the same Bentley he had seen earlier parked outside. Could it be that Seraphina had appeared again? How could she have known that he would be dining at this particular restaurant?

He was utterly dumbfounded, as this turn of events was completely unexpected!
