Chapter 7: How does she know?

At this moment, Luke stared at the familiar-looking Bentley in surprise, and then leisurely opened the car door.

Upon closer inspection, he realized it was none other than Seraphina, the top heiress of the Shangguan Group! She was dressed in a purple silk bodycon dress, wearing red stilettos, and had a pair of white pearls dangling from her ears. Her natural, refreshing perfume filled the air. She looked like the epitome of beauty and wealth, as if she had just attended a high-end social gathering.

"Luke, have you finished attending your school banquet?" Seraphina asked shyly, her cheeks flushed with a tinge of red, giving off an air of innocence.

"I've just finished, and I've even won over my classmates. They all see me as their leader now!" Luke replied, brimming with pride.

"Wow, Luke, you're amazing! You're the best," Seraphina admired.

Luke humbly responded, "Not really, I just used a 10-dollar bill to win them over. They probably haven't seen much of the world, and initially thought I was just a country bumpkin."

Unexpectedly, Seraphina revealed that the restaurant was also owned by the Shangguan Group. She had known about the mysterious wealthy person who paid for the entire banquet with a single blue bill. Her father, Chairman Henry Shangguan, was very intrigued and wanted to find out who it was. To their surprise, it turned out to be Luke. Although Luke's family was involved in investments, they had never been part of the Shangguan's elite circles. Could they be exceptionally low-key?

Subsequently, Seraphina gazed at Luke with affectionate eyes and whispered, "Luke, there's something I've been wanting to tell you."

"What is it?" Luke feigned ignorance, appearing perplexed, but he could feel Seraphina's growing fondness for him.

She hesitated, struggling to find the words, "I... actually... have been... missing you."

Seizing the opportunity, Luke moved to embrace her from behind, wrapping his arms around her delicate body, intending to steal a gentle kiss on her cheek.

With a coy smile, Seraphina said, "You're so naughty, Luke! I don't want you!" Although she outwardly rejected his advance, her heart had already softened, and she tacitly allowed his actions.

Luke, of course, knew that it wasn't the right time to kiss her, as it would be too awkward since they hadn't known each other for long. Thus, he only let his lips brush against her cheek before pulling away.

After a while, Luke returned home as usual, waving goodbye to Seraphina before stepping out of the car. He couldn't help but wonder whether he would be transported back to his original world, where prices hadn't plummeted, after falling asleep.

At midnight, Luke lay in bed, tossing and turning, thinking:

"Please don't send me back to my original world. It would be disastrous if prices go back up. I don't want to be transported to another parallel universe in my dreams."

The next morning, the first thing Luke did was check the prices on his phone's shopping app. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that the prices were still a thousand times lower. It indirectly confirmed that his time-travel experience was an extremely rare and improbable event, even less likely than winning the top prize in a lottery.
