Chapter 25 "A Mysterious Murderer"

"Motherf-ckers! What do they think they're doing?" Ravi angrily curses while running.

"It won't make a difference if Ravi abuses them. Let's focus on running and stay vigilant," Dhruv advises Ravi, attempting to pacify him.

As they continue their pursuit, the group maintains their heightened alertness, mindful of their surroundings.

As Veer and his companions continue their pursuit, the two individuals who were leading the way suddenly accelerate their running speed, becoming a blur in the eyes of Veer and his group.

Frustrated, Ravi exclaims, "What's happening? Those two scoundrels just increased their speed!"

Dhuvar, observing the situation, calmly responds, "Indeed, it appears that they have enhanced their speed by utilizing a technique that channels their internal energy into their feet."

While running, everyone silently nods in agreement upon hearing Dhuvar's explanation. However, amidst the intense chase, a realization dawns upon Veer, prompting him to inquire further.

While running, Veer directs a question to Dhuvar, "Sir, what is the rank of the murderer we are chasing?"

Dhuvar gazes at Veer and replies, "Veer, no one knows the exact rank of the murderer. However, it is speculated that he may hold a rank of 3 or 4."

Veer's eyes widen in surprise upon hearing this. He quickly expresses his concern to Dhuvar, "Considering I am only a rank 1 warrior, would it be wise for me to join you? I don't want to become a burden."

Dhuvar reassures Veer, saying, "Do not worry about that, Veer. We brought you here to familiarize you with our fighting techniques and patterns. It's essential for you to witness how we operate, as you will be part of our guild's future missions. We cannot afford any mistakes. Rest assured, your safety is my priority. Ravi and the others are more than capable of handling the murderer. So, there's no need to worry. Trust me on this."

Veer silently nods in agreement with Dhuvar's reassurances, refraining from voicing his doubts aloud. However, within his own thoughts, Veer ponders, "But I don't think it's going to be that easy. The explosion was incredibly loud, suggesting that the murderer possesses additional explosives. As Veer contemplates the situation, another deafening explosion echoes through the forest, surpassing the magnitude of the previous blast.

"Boom!" The sound reverberates, leaving everyone startled.

"What was that? Does the murderer have more explosive materials?" Dhuvar commands his companions to halt.

As Dhuvar's words hang in the air, the group collectively turns their attention towards him. Dhuvar shares his concern, "I believe this murderer may possess additional explosive materials. It would be foolish to continue our pursuit hastily. We are currently deep within the forest, where dangerous monsters reside. The loud explosions may have attracted their attention. We should retreat from here for now and return only when we are adequately prepared."

Ravi, attentive to Dhuvar's words, concurs and adds, "You're absolutely right. All we know is that the murderer is affiliated with a sinister organization, known as the Dark Murderous Circle. His rank within that organization is relatively low, which is why we have undertaken this mission. No one dares to meddle with that organization, Dhuvar. For now, let's retreat."

Upon hearing Ravi's statement, everyone nods in agreement. Surprisingly, Dharam, who typically interrupts Ravi's conversations, remains silent this time, refraining from commenting. Veer, while listening to Ravi, lacks detailed knowledge about the Dark Murderous Circle organization, but he deduces from Ravi's words that they are involved in nefarious activities. Consequently, Veer resolves to steer clear of this organization until he grows stronger.

"Dhuvar, sir, what about the individuals we were pursuing? Should we warn them?" Dharam inquires of Dhuvar.

"There's no need. I believe the explosion must have taken care of both of them. Sometimes, we must prioritize our own lives over others'," Dhruv states with a serious expression on his face.

With this realization, the group begins retracing their steps, heading back along the same path they had come. Unbeknownst to them, an observer watches from a nearby tree, witnessing Veer and his companions' departure. A wicked smile creeps across the observer's face as they shift their gaze towards the location of the explosion. The observer decides to follow in the direction where the two individuals had fled earlier.

Upon reaching the scene, the observer discovers a gruesome sight—a scattered mess of torn flesh and blood, with a gaping hole that seems to ooze a mixture of white fluid and blood from the victims' heads. This sight elicits a maniacal laugh from the observer.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! How I wish those five had come this way. It would have been even more entertaining. But alas, they turned back. No matter. Before their arrival, I had already dispatched another group of four individuals. It was quite enjoyable," the murderer chuckles sadistically.

Hahaha. It turns out that the murderer whom Dhuvar and his companions were searching for was watching them all along.

Unaware of the murderer's presence, Veer and the members of the Fire of Magic guild make their way back to the 055 Forest Camp Area. The return journey takes them approximately two hours, during which they encounter and swiftly dispatch several rank 1 and rank 2 monsters, effortlessly cutting them down like vegetables. Recognizing that Veer is still recovering, Dhuvar, Ravi, Dharam, Rohan, and Karv request Veer to collect the source stones from the fallen monsters.

As they approach the building within the camp area, a familiar voice calls out, "Karv, Veer!"

Veer and Karv turn their heads in the direction of the voice and see two individuals, a man and a woman, calling out their names. It's none other than Jack and Aisa, the companions who had accompanied Veer during his initial test, where he risked his life to save them from the demon wolves.

"Jack, Aisa! Are you both alright?" Veer rushes over to greet them.
