‘PRINCESS, just to remind you of your seven o’clock at the hotel’s restaurant.’
Yna glanced at the clock on the wall. It was ten minutes past six in the morning.
As werewolves and belonging to the same pack, they have the capability to mind link each other. It is only possible within a short distance. More or less, a five-kilometer radius. At this moment, the reliable secretary might be at the private office of her brother.
‘Noted, Diwa. I’ll be in the restaurant before 7 AM.’
‘Alright, Your highness. Your sentinel will be waiting for you when you reach the ground floor.’
‘Thank you.’
She closed the link between her and her brother’s secretary to prepare herself for the breakfast meeting. She was done with the bath anyway.
She was up by five in the morning. She had to start her day with yoga. Being in the city and hidden behind the paperwork, she has to have some peace and quiet before the demanding schedule for the day started.
One of the capabilities of werewolves is to communicate telepathically with fellow werewolves belonging to the same pack. An additional advantage of being born royal is to talk to any werewolf through mind link regardless of which pack the werewolf belongs to.
Wearing a cream short sleeves sheer blouse tucked in a black pencil skirt that reached above her knees, Yna gave herself one last look in the full-length mirror. She left the confinement of the suite when she felt satisfied with her image.
She liked the nude lipstick that Amarillo gave her. It was a gift. The only thing that her sister brought from Korea aside from her personal belongings.
She pressed the floor number where the restaurant was located. It was a smooth ride since she was alone in the elevator. She was able to have a moment to herself before she met with the client.
Two sentinels were indeed waiting for her when she alighted from the lift. She nodded at them when they bowed at her.
A smile paint her lips as she paced toward the restaurant. Following her steps were the two men. She staggered when someone bumped into her. Before she could even react a pair of soft lips captured her slightly opened mouth.
Her eyes remained open as she stared at the person violating her mouth. It was a kiss involving no tongue but it was not an innocent fussing of two lips either.
Her hand gripped the coat worn by the person caging her body.
“Good morning, babe. What took you so long?”
Her left brow shot up. Instead of being intimidated, the lanky man smiled at her like they normally do this every day.
Yna was glad that she wore matte, non-stick lipstick. It was worth the price that Amarillo asked from her. It did not smudge on the darn person that attacked her lips a while ago.
“H!! What is the meaning of this?”
Both of them look at the beautiful woman standing three meters from them. She has silky, blond hair that reached her bosom. The woman was clearly shocked and outraged by what she witnessed a while ago.
Yna shivered when an arm surrounds her waist. Her eyes turned to the person next to her.
“Hey, Lola.”
“It’s Lily.”
“Oh, I’m sorry, Lily. What’s up?”
“Who’s that bitch?”
“This is my girlfriend.”
“What?! But last night---”
“Was nothing. Come on, Lily. Don’t act like you’re a virgin.”
The scorned woman approached them. Her hand shoots in the air. Before it could make contact, one of the sentinels grabbed her wrist.
“It’s fine. Let her.” Yna said in a calm voice.
The woman’s palm reached the cheek of the tall man beside her. It produced a satisfying sound.
“Don’t you dare call me again!”
“I never did, Lola.”
“Jerk!”
The woman left without another glance.
The hand on Yna’s waist remained. She sent a glance at the man beside her.
A smirk was still on his face despite the hand mark on his cheek. He looked down after sending a short glance at the woman who stormed off.
Yna was already tall at five feet and eight inches. The man beside her was maybe taller than her by at least four more inches.
“Hi, babe. Thank you for your help.”
He was startled when the sentinels hold him on each side. He tried to move away from their clutches but they had a death grip on his arms.
“What should we do with this trash, Princess?”
Yna stared at the handsome features of the jerk who stole a kiss from her. His gray eyes have a streak of blue in them.
Her eyes darted to the watch on her wrist. It is already 6:49 AM.
“Let him go. I have a meeting in ten minutes.”
“Yes, Princess.”
The man righted his clothes when the sentinel let him go. The smirk still painted in his thin mouth.
“Diwa is in the restaurant, Princess. The client is there already.”
“Thank you.”
She gave him another quick look before leaving him.
She took a deep breath. Some other time, perhaps. For now, she has a meeting to attend. It was a more pressing matter.
Diwa was already seated when she arrived. He stood up and guides her to the other chair. The two sentinels left them.
Yna was thankful that Diwa was with her. Her mind remained on the tall, lanky male with a steady smirk on his lips.
“It’s settled then?”
“Please send us a copy of the contract. We’ll make a review and sign it when there is no issue.” Diwa responded.
“I’ll have it sent before lunch today.”
Yna shook her head when the meeting adjourned. It was she and Diwa who were left on the table. The meeting began and ended without her knowing the gist of the conversation.
“Are you alright, Your highness?”
“I’m not. Do I have other appointments this morning?”
“No more, Your highness, but you have a zoom meeting with your secretary in the foundation at 1:30.”
She nodded. “Can I have the time for myself?”
“Yes, Your highness. The sentinels will be around in case you need anything.”
“Thank you, Diwa.”
When the secretary left, Yna asked for the waiter to clean the table and a cup of coffee. She was on her second cup when someone occupied the opposite side of the table.
Her heart pounded faster. It was the jerk face who kissed her this morning.
“Hi, babe.”
He sent her a smirk before winking. He asked for a black coffee from the waitress who passed by.
“A beautiful woman like you should not be left alone.”
“You have a sweet mouth.”
She shook her head slightly when she saw the sentinels approaching. They might have recognized the person with her.
“My mouth has better use than sweet talking.”
Instead of responding to his words, Yna found herself looking at him intently.
Opposite hers was a person who was sure of himself, if not overly confident. He has a fair complexion. His eyes were round and a little deep-set. His nose was upturned and he has a pair of thin lips.
“Done checking me out, babe?” He asked after sipping from the cup that has been served.
She frowned. She openly gawked at him.
His brows were thick but well-shaped. And his lips were thin like it were a wo---
“You’re a woman!”
“You finally noticed?”
“You’re a woman.”
“Babe, it’s not going to change even if you say it again one more time.”
“Oh, goddess.”
“You’ll be mentioning not just the goddess but more saints when we get to a place more private.”
Yna covered her face with both of her hands. She kept on murmuring to the moon goddess at the turn of events.
