Maulana Sahib And Akbar Dad

Maulana Sahib is decorating the mosque on the night of Shab E Miraj when Akbar Dad Sahib, a science enthusiast, enters. Akbar Dad greets Maulana, "Assalam Alaikum!" Maulana responds with sarcasm, "Walaikum Asalaam! Dad Sahib, how are you and what is the condition of your owls? What do they say?"

Akbar Dad explains that the "owls" Maulana refers to are actually the greatest scientists in the world. Maulana apologizes for the "insolence" and asks Akbar Dad to pick up a lantern. Akbar Dad lifts the lantern and mentions it was invented by the British. Maulana smiles and clarifies he's not referring to the lantern's origin but rather asks Akbar Dad to pick it up.

The conversation turns into a debate about science and Islam. Maulana says science originates from Islam but gets adulterated by modern scientists. Akbar Dad compares this to tea made with milk, and Maulana invites him for tea. Akbar Dad surrenders, impressed by Maulana's wit.

In their second meeting, Akbar Dad approaches Maulana after Jummah prayer, referencing Maulana's speech about war and Muslims fighting. Maulana expects Akbar Dad to argue and responds with sarcasm. Akbar Dad raises concerns about the consequences of war, and Maulana responds, "Does this happen in war? Hey, you're increasing my knowledge."

Akbar Dad mentions atomic bombs, and Maulana jokes about escaping to the village. Akbar Dad continues to argue, suggesting Muslims should shake hands with their enemies and explain their perspective with love. Maulana becomes frustrated, feeling Akbar Dad's suggestions are shameful.

The conversation ends with Maulana dismissing Akbar Dad, saying, "Allah Hafiz! Sir! Peace for a few days. That's it." Akbar Dad is left speechless, and they both part ways.
