Chapter Eight [ The isolation]

Chapter Eight [ The Isolation]

Throughout Rudolf's recovery from his fractured back-bones, Rhoda prayed constantly that moment before the midnight hour.

“We put on the girdle of sincerity, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace in sharing the love of Jesus Christ through His Gospels, the shield of faith that can quench all the fires and arrows of the evil one, and the helmet of salvation that protect from fiery darts of enemies and the swords of the Spirit, which are the words of God, so that we can stand firm in the dark days, says Rhoda.

“Amen.” Rudolf agrees as Rhoda declares complete healing to Rudolf’s’ broken backbones and victory in Christ.

The couple's journey is hampered by pandemic events that cause their flight to China, where they will temporarily re-side, to be delayed. They appeared perplexed even though prayers help them find solutions to their past issues and the future brings them hope. As Rhoda put her trust in God's promises, she started to worry less for the safety of her family. However, she still gives her husband the authority to make family decisions. While deciding what to do next, Rudolf was holding Robert under his right arm.

"What are we going to do?" Rhoda inquires.

"What does God have to say?" Since Rudolf has been coming to Rhoda with queries, Rhoda has been quickly creeping into her thoughts on what God says in the Bible as she mentions, Rudolf has returned the questions to Rhoda with a positive tone and attitude.

"Commit whatever you do to the Lord, and He will establish your plan," Rhoda suggested praying adding,

"Make me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your courses, we plead. As Rhoda's’ eyes turn to God, she is reminded of His Word,

“Look carefully therefore how you live, not as fools but as wise,” says God, and when we pray for His guidance,”

Rhoda mentions adding,

“'So, teach us to calculate our days so we may develop a heart of understanding,' says God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; fools disdain wisdom and instructions. So, wait for the Lord, be strong, and let your heart take courage. Wisdom teaches us what is right and wrong, and it assists us in avoiding evil and doing good," Rhoda stated.

“Everything has its season, and every issue has its time under heaven because 'the heart of man prepares his route, but the Lord directs his steps.”

That evening, as they waited for the calls, Rudolf calmly listened as she continued reading the Bible apps on her phone.

"We should indeed be attentive to today's problems," Rhoda stated,

"but they vanished when we entrusted them to God. We should delight in the Lord, and He will grant our heart's desires. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not be upset when others succeed in their ways when they carry out wicked schemes...the wicked will vanish in a short time; even if you look for them, you will not find them.” Rhoda added.

“Are you able to decipher what this means? However, the humble shall inherit the country and dwell in peace and prosperity," says Rudolf softly to Rhoda.

“To be humble means to obey and accepts what’s unacceptable,” Rhoda explains.

Rhoda adds, "Honey, there's just one thing we should do right now." Rudolf laughs saying,

"Honey, never turn God's Word into a joke; rather, take it seriously and be happy,"

Rhoda continues. "We already know that sins have disastrous consequences. Pandemic coronaviruses, like cancer cells, anemia, and leukemia, is a man-made viruses. We became negligent and disregarded what is good.” She spoke.

Rhoda explains what the bible verses mean, saying, "But since we're human prone to make mistakes, then everyone suffers since it infects."

Rhoda begins to expand on the topics Rudolf has already grasped as they get closer to the rescue crew. Rhoda chuckled as she tickles Robert's armpit Robert awakens, smiles, and says, "Mommy."

"You see," Rudolf added, grinning,

"you're the only one who knows what the Word of God implies."

"We're dealing with disputes, honey, brought on by this pandemic crisis," Rhoda explains softly,

"and we'll come to realize that what doctor information should be compelled to obey first before we go further on our journey," Rhoda explains

"Let's sit down and talk with the rescuers about this," Rudolf proposes as he motions for the rescuers to approach them.

Rudolf is well aware of the dangers they will face if they continue their nightly journey without vaccination. With high anticipation, he presented them with the information provided by the medical mission team.

"It's almost true!" The rescuers agree with what the medical mission team presented to the Wagner family.

“We can reject our previous plan and compel you to obey the requirements for your safety.”

The rescued squad quickly answered.

"We have several vacant lodgings in that location southwest of the city, close to services that can give you with essentials. Since the location is virtually as close to the aircraft carrier as you oversee it miles away from the seacoast, you'll have nearby tourist attractions and beaches."

They said adding,

” You can enjoy your stay there and it’s up to you how long do you like to stay there. That house is free.” They said.

They were taken to a better place by the rescued crew, who let them stay and recuperate completely alone from the other individuals seeking refuge.

They appreciate the rescued crew's provision of a peaceful, fresh, and isolated location. They've been sleeping the entire night away. There is light and water, as well as a one-room house with fruit trees, plants, and weeds in the yard.

The place is isolated and very quiet. They can hear loud cries as though echoing sounds brought by the strong rushing wind from a secluded location early in the after-midnight hours before they opened their eyes from a deep slumber.

In the darkness of the bedroom, Robert reached for his mother's nipple, while Rudolf made some sexual advance to his wife alongside him and groped her repeatedly.

"First?" Rhoda exclaims abruptly, jolting her awake from her deep slumber. 'She simultaneously asks both.' Rudolf yells, chuckling as he tolerates the distant wailing sounds,

"Hey son, are you competing against your papa again?"

Robert drinks his mother's breast milk right away.

"When the sun rises, we'll check it out while we go food hunting around the area that seemed secluded from a distance who believed they'd given us a wonderful hotel," she said.

“They appeared to be frightening us! Are you up for a new adventure, my darling?" Rudolf asked.

Rudolf began quickly as they both rose from the bed, Rob-ert arriving first, saying,

"Daddy," and asking his father to fully arm carry him.

"Son, you should practice walking ahead with both legs and feet now that the sun's rays are so excellent for our bones," Rudolf stated, as Rhoda trailed behind with her enormous light bag for marketing and food searching.

"It appears you're hungry, wife, with your large food bag!" " Robert took a tentative stride forward, his both legs seem-ing strange, as he began to walk with his shoes properly in that fresh, windy, bask-suitable atmosphere.

As they go along the lengthy path, which is bordered on both sides by lush green meadows, Rudolf teases him. They once again heard loud shouts coming from small rundown dwellings along the seacoast.

Rhoda stated as she led her son forward,

"This is the owner of scared outcries since early in the morning."

"Yeah, we'll check it out across the road," Rudolf remarked as he began to grab Robert's entire arm to speed him up and secure him in his seat.

The first one explained,

"The awful diseases had already killed many people in town, and people were dying in all residences."

The other adds. "Who says it?"

Rudolf inquires about the person arriving from the other side.

"It's the news on today's Bulletin," the middle-aged woman in an old faded dress replies as she walks past, spreading the word.

"She's the bearer of all people here but she's safe unless infected by the virus in the seacoast carried by the contaminated atmosphere,” Rudolf explains further.

”She’s roaming around to spread it. Is she not getting tired of it? "

Rudolf is questioned by Rhoda.

"Never mind," Rudolf said,

"let us go looking for our food." Rhoda continues,

"It appears that newspapers are not available and no one is selling reading magazines, books, and newspapers in this secluded area."

"Has this been under U.S Military base?" Rhoda inquires.

They keep walking along the path until they reach the medical mission team's base. Rudolf hints, his mind whirling with ideas,

"We're almost there. We can start planning for the coronavirus vaccine, honey! We’ll arrange the time schedules for both of us and request specialized antibodies for our baby Robert and your fetus," he said emphatically.

He continued to secure Robert’s legs around his shoulders as if he can view the entire surroundings now that he was on his father's shoulders.

“Wow, Geert!” Robert exclaimed.

"Fine sweetie pie, your tongue-twisting as you stammer, speak more as you appreciate it,"

Rhoda chuckles slowly as another fellow approaches across with a big burden on his shoulder.

"Then where is he going? Is there any other lodging available near our locations? " Rhoda questions Rudolf once more, and Rudolf nods his head.

The family eventually comes into focus. They don't appear to be sleepy but rather trying to perceive the unexpected environment in that new location.

"Thank you, Mr. Wagner, for changing your mind!" grins Doctor Glen.

"We may meet for an open Christian community gathering and Sunday service." The head of the family said.

“And I would be delighted to add your name to the list of community members added with privileges and benefits granted by our Medical mission." The doctor says adding,

“We’ll post and inform you of the dates and schedules of immunization when it’s all ready.”

“Do you have a lot of positive covid-19 cases already, Dr. Glen?” Rhoda interrogates him.

"As of today, there are none," Dr. Glen responded.

"But before that, do you have any positive patience here?" Rhoda continues to ask.

"Many are on the list," Dr. Glen asserts,

"but we have a separate location where we immediately segregated them." He continues,

"But we're extremely quiet about it." Dr. Glen hints,

"We always reminded you to comply and cooperate with our directions."

Rhoda and Rudolf have created a strong perception of the current coronavirus presence in the atmosphere and they've started a campaign to educate others about precautionary measures, based on their previous experience with loud outcry from residents near their homes.

It diverted Rhoda's focus from her concern for the poor, sick, and poverty victims. Her current early pregnant time, on the other hand, is telling her to be more cautious to save her fetus.

"If you need to be isolated from other people to save your fetus, Robert and Rudolf must be aware of the contamination as well. If the father and son are infected, the pregnant mother will undoubtedly be infected as well."

The medical mission team advises Rhoda to stay at home and pray for the safety of others rather than getting physically involved.

The Wagner family is once again constrained to accept the majority's demand and wait patiently, as the Lord told them in His word inside the Bible which she just mentioned to Rudolf, despite their lifestyle. Face masks and face shields, as well as Vitamin Foods and rice, are distributed by the medical mission team to everyone, including the Wagner family.
