Henrietta looked at the mark on her hand and asked: “Then, wouldn’t you use it better?”
Seth shook his head and said: “It needs a pure and just heart to grow stronger. I have none of that. I’ve killed every human in this world once, and it will never grow strong in my possession.”
“If I were to use it, it would grow weaker and never show its true worth. This is better in your hands.”
Henrietta nodded and asked: “But why is it silent now?”
“Because it had fallen into slumber. It draws its strength from your heart and the hearts of all the other humans in the world, which gave it form.”
“The world has grown corrupt, and the human race is no longer as pure and united as it was back then. This had sapped too much of its power.” Said Seth with a sigh.
Henrietta nodded and brought it to her chest: “I understand. Thank you. I don’t understand completely, but I know this is amazing, so thank you for entrusting it to me.”
