Chapter 7 - Key to the Past.

As Harry enters the living room, Andy asks him, "What were you and dad talking about? There's a lot of whispering going on between the two of you and mum and Elizabeth" Arthur tells Andy, "Don't worry about it. It's probably marriage things. Elizabeth and Harry are still arranging those things, aren't you, Harry?". Harry is confused since he's not sure on what to say but he does answer by saying, "Yes, that's it. Dad and I are talking about marriage things. I need his help with a few things. Elizabeth and I are planning our marriage as we plan on having the wedding soon".

Harry sits down and waits for his father to arrive with the key to his grandfather's old gym but instead, he's surprised by Zoey and Grant Rogers as they arrive at the Edwards Residence but Harry is in his own world as all he can think about is his old life as a fighter, with all of his victories, all his defeats, all the hard efforts which he put through over the years and everything else too. But Harry is interrupted by Zoey as she greets him. Harry comes out of his own world and gets up from his seat and greets Zoey with a hug. He says to her, "Happy birthday, Zoey". She returns the greeting by hugging him back. Zoey responds, "And happy birthday to you, little brother".

Harry smiles at Zoey after they're done hugging. Zoey introduces Harry to Grant, saying, "Harry, this is Grant, my boyfriend. Grant, this is my little brother, Harry". Grant seems happy to meet Harry but it doesn't seem like Harry is glad to meet him as all he does is give Grant a quick smile. Grant says, "It's good to finally meet The Hunter. I've seen your fights, you're good so when are you getting back into that ring because I'd like to have a bout with probably the second best fighter in the Boxing Heavyweight Division". Harry informs Grant, "I can't do that since I'm officially retired. I am just a trainer and manager now, for Richard and Daniel" but Grant is about to try and convince Harry into making a comeback, Sean comes to Harry and tells him, "I've got it".

Harry tells Zoey, "Excuse me but I've got things to discuss with dad". Harry tells Andy, Arthur and Grant, "I'll see you all later as for now I've got to talk to dad outside". Harry and Sean make their outside, to the Jaguar. There Sean tells Harry, "I'm sorry it took so long but I managed to get the key, it's all yours if you promise me not to make the same mistakes as my father". Harry looks his father in the eye and tells him, "I promise you, dad. I won't make any mistakes like that" to which Sean hands Harry the key with a grim face as he remembers what that key did to his family.

Harry tells his father, "I'm off then, father. I'll see you and everyone later". Harry gets into the Jaguar and drives off to J and J Kill-shot gym. Harry arrives at the J and J Kill-shot gym. Harry can see that even though he has been paying the mortgage of the gym in secret, he notices that time is taking its hold on the gym as everything seems to be decaying at a rather slow rate, the sign of the of the gym and the building itself. Harry parks the Jaguar nearby the gym, gets out of the car, locks it then has a look at the gym. Harry says to himself, "Gramps, I know your gym is falling apart but don't worry about it, I'm here to make it great again like it was back in your day and when you once trained me before when I began my career as a boxer". Harry heads inside as he removes the key from his pocket and unlocks the door and heads inside the old gym. Harry sees an untidy places as this place hasn't been used ever since his grandfather passed away. Harry sees all of the old and dusty equipment laying around, things that he once used himself since he was trained by his grandfather in this very gym.

Harry stares at the heavy bag hanging from the wall, he remembers the first time his grandfather trained him as an amateur fighter and what he was told by Jeremy 'The Kill-shot' Edwards, 'Lad, remember that this is your first fight ever. I'm here to train you to the best of my ability, to pass on which I know to you. As you work this heavy bag to train your punches to be deadly. I believe you can do good, Harry. In fact better than what I ever could but don't forget that head shots are one thing but body shots are much different, so use that to your advantage as a fighter is nothing without it, if you remove that from the equation, you shall have victory bit don't forget not to throw punches too wildly yourself. Pace yourself, time it perfectly. Remember this, precision beats power and timing beats speed. You're not here to take part, you're here to take over, so do me proud and yourself, lad'. Harry remembers this like it was yesterday.

Harry beings to cry because he has great memories with his grandfather. They won that fight in the 3rd round but Harry thinks, 'To honour my grandfather, I'm going to restore this place to its former glory, for you grandfather'. Harry locks the gym as he goes to a local car dealership in Fairfield as he plans to sell his Jaguar to create fund for the restoration of the gym and planning to rename it to The Dire-wolves Gym since the wolf is his favourite animal. Harry talks to Mr. Peter Henderson about buying his Jaguar. Peter has a look at the Jaguar then tells Harry, "Considering that the car is still in excellent condition and I knew your grandfather and the rest of your family for many years now, how about £45 000 for the car? I can have your money sent to your parents place tomorrow morning".

Harry thinks about it. He tells Peter, "Okay, Mr. Henderson, you got a deal". Harry hands Mr. Henderson the keys to the Jaguar and tells him, "If you find anything within the car please return it to me please" Mr. Henderson responds, "Sure, Harry. It shall be done. I'll make sure of it". Harry and Peter shakes hands as he plans to leave while Mr. Henderson asks him, "Do you need a ride home, Harry? Since I'm heading that way myself and it is your birthday after all" but Harry tells Peter, "No thanks, Mr. Henderson. I'll walk home, its not too far and I need the exercise". Peter responds, "Okay, Harry, See you tomorrow then. I'll deliver your money as soon as I can" while Harry waves goodbye to Mr. Henderson as he walks back to the Edwards Residence.

Once there, after a long walk, Harry arrives at the Edwards Residence and sees Elizabeth waiting for him. Harry walks over to Elizabeth. She asks him, "Where have you been since everyone's here and waiting for you. But why are you walking? Where is your car?" Harry informs Elizabeth, "I sold the Jaguar". Elizabeth asks, "Why did you do that, Harold?" he responds, "I needed the money" to which Elizabeth asks, "For what, Harold?" he answers, "Because I needed it as I plan to make use of my grandfather's old gym and I need funds for its restoration, so I sold my car for £45 000".

Elizabeth is furious at Harold. She tells him, "Once again you made a decision without me. What happened to our pact of no more secrets and making decisions without the other?" Harold says, "I am sorry, its just being back here and helping Danny out, I thought the best way to do that is by having him start the way I did". Elizabeth tells Harold, "I am glad that you're willing to do that for Daniel but you should have included me in that decision" while Harold tells her, "Once again, I am sorry for doing that but for now, let's head inside and enjoy the party tonight with our family and our friends since it's Zoey and my birthday today". Elizabeth kisses Harold then tells him, "Okay, Harold. Let's go inside since it is getting late and its quite cold out here" Harold says, "I can agree" as they hold hands and head inside to begin the birthday party for Harry and Zoey.

Once Elizabeth and Harry are inside, everyone cheers and says, "There he is, there is the birthday boy and now let's begin to celebrate". Harry is greeted by Richard and Victoria as they are here too. Richard is going to help out with Daniel's first professional fight but before that, Harold and Zoey are treated to a great birthday party as everyone is enjoying their time here but Harry is concerned that Manny isn't here since he is still ill but this day, Harry prays to God to grant Manny a speedy recovery so that he can be around to see him do wonders as a manager.

The party soon ends after a few hours as everyone begins to leave. Julie, Gared, Chris, Richard, Victoria, Zoey, Grant, Andy and even Arthur leaves as they make their way to their respectful homes and places which they are staying at while Elizabeth, Harold and Daniel remains behind at the Edwards Residence. That night, while Elizabeth and Harold are laying together in bed, Harold asks her, "What did you and my mother talk about when we arrived?" Elizabeth informs him, "I asked your mother if I could talk to her about the whole not falling pregnant thing. I told her that I don't want to be a burden and marry you yet I am unable to have any children as I want and would like to give you a child or two but what if I can't give you a child like Samantha did?".

Harold tells Elizabeth, "Look at me" and so she does. Where he tells her, "You aren't a burden. When we get married and you nor I can't have children, so what for as long as we have each other, that's enough for me" while Elizabeth asks Harold, "Are you sure about that?" which he answers, "Of course I am sure. I love you, Beth and nothing can change that nor take it away". Elizabeth tells Harold, "And I love you too" as they share a kiss and makes out on the bed but it soon ends as Elizabeth reminds him, "You are to rest because you and Daniel have a lot to do since it's only but a week to the fight and the two of you are going to need everything to help you through it all even myself, I'll be there too, to show you guys my support" Harold responds, "Thanks, Beth" as they lay their heads down on their pillows and goes to sleep.

29th October 2011.

It's been a week since the birthday party. Everyone is currently inside The Dire-wolves gym helping Daniel prepare for his fight against Raymond 'The Sharp-Shooter' Pierce, even though the gym is only in operation for a week, it looks pretty good even though somethings still need attention. There are many new things and equipment present. Harry is talking to the contractor about things while Andy and Richard trains Daniel in the ring with Freddy as his sparring partner. Harry soon ends discussion with the contractor as he heads towards the ring and everyone, "Everything is sorted and its time for training" as Daniel continues his training, Harry tells him, "You'll be ready, Dan. I believe in you. You can do this" Daniel tells Harry, "Thank you, sir. With everyone's help and with you in my corner, I know that I can do this so let's go for it as the fight within 3 days, its mine as I'm going to be victorious".
