42 – A Particular Girl

Azalea lay on our bed while Ciara covered the flora girl's arm with bandages.

"So, can you tell me what happened?" I asked her.

The flora girl closed her eyes. "A scary monster."

"One of those t-rex monsters?" Bonnie Gulped.

"No." Azalea shook her head. Her mouth showed a bitter smile. "Since the arrival of the dinosaur monsters, I have never met anything like them again…. This one chasing me is worse…. It can fly and still looks like a dinosaur."

"Like a pterodactyl?" I guessed.

"That's right." Azalea took a deep breath. "It has wings like bats and long snouts. And strangely, that creature always tries to chase me. It's a miracle I was able to escape from that…. Ah, that monster also breathes fire like its land cousin."

I then asked the flora girl again. "I'm sorry to ask about this, but did you come here seeking protection?"
