Chapter 1: Fafir's Pondering

"Oh Faffy! Faffy my dear muscular sweetheart I'm back." Monnie said as she snuck behind the mediating deity the redhead woman hugged him from behind. Fafir smelled fresh meat being cooked. The man opened his eyes and patted his girlfriend on the head. She giggled and kissed his cheek. The woman went back out of the tent and tended to the food. Fafir sat in the darkness of the tent and pondered what happened to his men that ran away on that day. The day Luna's friends destroyed the Red Palace were could they have even scattered off to?

"Hmm it could be possible they retreated to their homes or are in hiding. Whatever happened, I'm sure they'll know my voice once I call for them." Fafir thought he stroked his gray beard and stepped out of the tent. He hugged Monnie from behind and kissed her neck intimately. "Mmm..hehe. Nice try mister but your not gonna get extra. Not until you eat the veggies I got from the market." Monnie said as she wiggled some green carrots on front of her larger boyfriend.

" But I told ya already Mon. I don't eat carrots there too sweet for my liking. Had I been in my palace. The guards would've served us both a feast. Pretty much at my beck and call." Fafir chuckled. Monnie chuckled and used a wooden spoon to stir a pot she brought with her. She was making soup and boy oh boy. The smell was amazing. Fafir sat on a nearby tree stump and watched his girlfriend go to work. He never recalled Nea doing this type of thing ever.

It was always her chefs and cooks preparing each and every meal. Day in and out. Even before the current time. Fafir would have to rely on himself for food or just not eat at all. Things were weird with him. Monnie began to fill two wooden bowls with the heavily aromatic soup. She blew at it and served Fafir and herself. The couple were now sitting in front of a campfire inside an tent enjoying each others time. Monnie was curious about Fafir still. She was told most things about him, yet what bothered her was. Why the hostility between him and his daughter?

She had only met Destiny a few days or weeks ago in the Merribel Woods, yet she couldn't shake off the warning she gave her. "He'll betray you too." This was all she could remember. The red headed girl finished her meal and sat on Fafir's lap and looked him into his steely grey eyes. " I need to know. Why was your daughter so..dismissive and hostile towards you? What happened?" Monnie asked. Fafir said not a word. He ignored her and drank the remnants of his soup. Monnie persisted and gently removed the bowl from his face.

"Faffy? Won't you tell me please?" She asked a slightly annoyed Fafir. "I honestly don't know were to begin. What you saw was indeed the product of my seed. My only child. Destiny is what I named her. Her mother is the Queen of the Neotic Gods. Or Nea. We made her and it's no surprise the girl took most of her mothers genetics." Fafir concluded. Monnie looked annoyed as she could tell he was stalling.

"What else? There has to be a reason as to why she acted the way she did. She was hostile towards us and frankly, not the nicest even. Poor little thing was probably scared even." The girl said. Fafir kissed Monnie on her hand and continued to tell his story about Destiny.

"Thought she's the only daughter I have, she's a feisty, smart and wonderful soul. I have no clue as to why she could be so hostile to us. I have done her no wrong. In fact it's Nea who fills her head with lies and deceit . When she was in my custody. I had great things planned for her. Plans to have her be my heir and take over once my time is done. But no. Nea had to tell her I abused her and I hate her and I CARE NOT FOR HER. What garbage!! The Beast God exclaimed.

Monnie looked and listened. It was as if she wanted to comfort Fafir, but couldn't. Instead she let him vent his frustration. Fafir continued talking and unclenched his large hands. " You know how kids are. Especially young girls who reach a certain age. They think they can do and wear what ever they want with no consequences whatsoever. I may have been lucky enough not to see Destiny in such scantily clad attire, but her attitude is sub par at best. The girl treats me like I'm a horrendous monster. All I ever done was love." Fafir finshed. Monnie wrapped her arm around his and snuggled him. She stroke his arm just to cool him down.

This worked for a bit. Fafir settle down and gazed into the fiery flames of the campfire. The two said no words. Only action was their main concern.

Fafir rested his head on her shoulder. Both of them lost track of time watching the fire consume the logs. After what seemed like several hours have passed. Only minutes strolled by. Fafir looked at Monnie and Monnie at Fafir. They held each other's hand and kissed.

"Aww..big baby. Hehehe. You don't need all these kisses. "Monnie teased. " Maybe not, we may have to deviate from this conversation now my love. For now we have to rely on the sheer element of to happen. " Fafir said wisely. "Oh what element is exactly that my love?" Monnie asked.

" For the time being. We need to get my men back, and see about everything else that's happened so fa. We'll cross that bridge when we get too it." Fafir says as he gets ready to search for his missy men. Monnie follows suit. Off the pair go in a attempt to find all that have ran away,in hiding or even went off the grid.

Monnie still looks a little perturbed. She wants to learn more about Fafir's daughter. She has a werid feeling Fafir isn't telling her all the truth. "So Fafir. I know you talked about Destiny just a little bit,but I have a few questions. What will you do when you get her back or at least meet her again?" The young girl asked. Fafir looked down at her as they walked.

"Well..I will give her a stern disciplinary lesson she will not forget. After all. As her father,it is my duty to punish her however I see fit. As a god. It is also my duty to punish those who displease me. Take this as a warning my love. Two women before you failed me and now..let's just say..there uhh..deceased. Loosely speaking that is." Fafir almost chuckled to himself. Monnie took this as a sign to stop pushing for a more clear answer. The two walked in silence for a long while and encountered a few massive caves. They were no longer in the Merribel Woods in fact, they'd left some time ago.

"Amazing..absolutely wonderful. Are these crystals? There the size of a house if not a fully grown Ulmus. Should we explore further my lord?" Monnie asked Fafir who closed his eyes for a moment. The glean and light bothered his eyes for a moment. He took this time to sense for any amount of life nearby and what luck. There was a meduim size group deep within this cave. Fafir placed a hand in front of Monnie. "Oh..is something the matter love?" The red head innocently asked. Fafir said nothing and held her left hand gently. The two walked into the cave as quietly as possible. "We must remain silent. There may be more than a few inhabitants in this cave. Perhaps some fools who rather throw their life away before it even began." Fafir arrogantly said. The couple traversed the cave and the paths seemed endless at this point. They were now in total darkness, completely absorbed in pitch black darkness. This didn't shake Fafir or Monnie instead Fafir had the young girl prepare her shield and unsheathed her sword as well as reload her guns. Fafir on the other hand waved his hands in a magical matter and red streams of fog formed from his eyes, mouth and hands.

"I know your THE Lord Fafir, but I never knew you could do that. How come the Neotic God Books never mentioned that before?" Monnie asked curious. Annoyed by her question Fafir rudely responded. "Just shut up for now and worry about the trivial part later." The pair cautiously travelled deeper and deeper into the cave. Still no luck just darkness. That was until Fafir by instinct dodged a arrow and looked at his would be assailant.

"Hmm? Who tries to assassinate Fafir the Beast God?" Fafir asked. Monnie had a hard time adjusting to fighting in the dark. It seems more of these cave dwellers took the arrow as a signal. They attacked Monnie and feared even getting close to Fafir. The archer fired more and more arrows at him but to no avail. "What but ten of them pierced you I'm sure of it!! No matter, your little girlfriend over here is nothing, but fodder. What will you do to save her hmmm?" The archer pridefully taunted. Fafir was unfazed. He folded his arms and saw Monnie using her shield to block, her guns to cripple her opponents and some moves that proved too lethal for even the most skilled of warriors. She broke three arms, five fingers on each hand and a shoulder that day, thanks to her adaptability, quick thinking and well trained reflexes. "Huff..huff..all done here Fafir. Hehe those guys were quite feisty ya know hehe. Now what else do we do?" The tired girl asked. They each looked at the archer, the archer looked back and realized how outmatched they are, quickly they ran. Fafir commanded his warrioress to stay still while he took care of the archer and that he did.

"No no..Stay away from me!! I have nothing you want!" The archer yelled breaking and avoiding giant rocks. Fafir easily took them head on and followed the archer all the way to a dead end. The archer was too distracted and collided with a falling boulder. It shatter the poor archers right knee as it landed straight into the ground. Fafir noticed this and smashed the massive boulder into a small rock. The pain however for the archer was unbearable. They cried and wailed as it was too great for them to stomach. Fafir walked in silence and removed the rest of the rock from the archer's would-be knee..Well if they had one still.

" That doesn't seem to look good. No not one bit. You shouldn't even be able to move your leg at this point even. Sad to say but you had to learn a lesson the hard way. I could possibly do something about this if your interested?" Fafir smirked as he stood in the light. The archer was terrified. The one of legend was standing before them. The Lord of Evil have placed his judgment on them. They could only hope he'd show mercy.

"Remove your helmet and armour. I would like to see who my would-be assailant is before they meet their end. My offer is this though. Listen close; I can heal your um..destroyed leg by amputation or I can formed a entirely new, indestructible leg for you instead? How's that sound? All it will take is you being one with me." Fafir said as he got on one knee and placed his hands over the gory scene. The archer removed their helmet and armour as asked. They were a woman with black hair. One side was shaven even. A medium muscular built and scars decorated her body. Her skin was a pale turquoise color even. Fafir figured she was a Shifting or Ojoo by nature. Either way. The poor girl screamed into her helmet and cried as the pain got progressively worst.

"Well well now..What a beauty you are. Such a shame death is at the door. He's knocking and this is one answer you can't avoid,well..unless your me,but your not hehehe. I can help..just tell me..what's your answer hmm?" Fafir said as he ripped part of the girl's pants leg off and gently wrapped it around the shattered knee section. The girl clenched her teeth and cried some more. Once she was composed. She gave her answer.

"My lord..Fafir..please heal me I beg of you!! Had I known you were walking through my home..I..I would have prepared a feast for yo-" Before the girl could finish, Fafir sliced her already damaged leg clean off with one swipe of his hand. The sheer shock on the young female archer was just that. Fafir looked at the girl's now severed right leg and cast it into the dark abyss. With the utmost speed and precision. The Beast God cauterized the bleeding wound until it was nothing more than a stump.

"Your welcome my dear. Sorry about that, but my patience grew thin. Make your choice NOW!!" Fafir demanded in a low tone. His voice rumbled the entire cave. The young archer was so scared she soiled herself out of fear. She couldn't even form words. This angered Fafir even more. What he did next was unspeakable or should be. "So..a little excited aren't we Hmm? Well can't have that now huh?" Fafir chuckled to himself. A evil smiled formed across his face. Out of sheer cruelty, the deity sliced off the girl's other leg and tore her pants off as well. The poor girl's screams echoed throughout the cave.

Once Fafir was done he flew back to Monnie and hugged her. Almost like nothing happened at all. Terrified Monnie wondered what just happened. "She deserved everything ya know, she insulted my daughter and NO ONE insults my hard work and effort. Come..we have more men and women to seek out. Be on your guard my love. " Fafir coldly said. The two walked past were Fafir had met the archer girl. When Monnie saw the sight. She was horrified. The poor girl was in such a viscous and gory display she almost vomited. "W..what did he do to her? D..did he? Oh no..But that's not possible he said he loved me? Wasn't she wearing pants and where the heck are her legs?" Monnie thought. This image would forever be burnt into her mind. She now distance herself from Fafir and cautiously followed.

"What if..what if Destiny was right?" Monnie thought. "No..there is no way. He's just a bit hyper-aggressive is all. Nothing to fear..right? R..Right?" The girl mumbled to herself as she followed slowly behind Fafir.
