What I would not do.

"Well, to start off-"

Erimythees held a finger up, tilting her head as she watched the screen-like news; most broadcasts showed the same place now "moving" as the veil of stopped time was lifted- deadweight carried and tossed aside.

"Yeah, I was right..." cut the Blue hair, looking back at Naikhee, "It's with the activation..." muttered, her eyes turning back at the place for information, confirming a big "yes" on some virtual sign, "Yep..."

"I was about to say..." Blondie shrugged, trying to sit next to her even with the bean bag having little space to fit two people, though not as much of a struggle given it's just an inedible marshmallow mushed to be a chair. "Good thing you caught on..."

Silence of about 30 seconds, unskippable ads even with the blocker of the website, "W-heh-at? You're doubting me that quickly? C'mon..." little snickered by blue, giggling.

The ad contained a rather auspicious-looking product, with some jazzy- no, perhaps... moody type of background music picked up from a website with the words "free no copyright" as if that'd get the creators a use out of it, even though it was most likely paid.

But moving on...

Showed stock images of people holding their heads up, with a clear bolded text "stress" atop it.

Even more photos of boats with weird U-smilies shaped into a pickaxe upside down, now plastered over the layer of text and the bubbly green background.

Now in comes the actual endorser, a friendly-looking guy in shades, wearing navy blue and brown overalls, some designs best left to the interpretation. Not out of laziness, of course.

The product was in the shape of a powder packet, a square with a small groove meant to be pressed on and poured directly through the seams.

Before, all products that were powdered needed to be torn apart for them to be opened. But, given the increase in the need for convenience, packets were made from a specific delicate material indexed as "IF-03", inspired by the famous scientist of 2025 named Reco If Dwent. This was synthesized to master the concept of "quantum tunneling" which allows for the product contained within the material to pass through, but also controlled enough to "stop" the material; hence, the use of the groove. Specificities are unknown, but it's not like the public would ever complain...

"Ah, so that was the reason..." Erimythees muttered, fingers on her hair combing them. Her gaze panning over to the side, like how a student would look at the wall when memorizing ten different terms for an English Quiz despite having done nothing to prepare but tap on their phone.

"Reason for- Ohhh, right... The errmm, [REDACTED] outbreak, yeah?" Naikhee asked, glancing at Blue who remained watching.

"Yep. This was the very first cause... One leading to the first downfall of the Cexik's, as well as the emergence of the prototypes..." meeting Blonde's gaze, "...Nicole's kin..."

"Huh...." looking back and tilting his head, the advertisement was already over.

"Daydreams. They're formed from the user's idea- their mind's unconsciousness brought into reality..." Erimythees muttered, her eyes upon the void "ceiling" or whatever it's called.

"Given the randomness of the human mind, Daydreams could embody one's intrusive thoughts- or worse, represent one's repressed memories and feelings." she continued, standing up to take a little stretch, her high heels making some ethereal sound when stepping into the nothingness tiles.

"Innate Abilities are different though..."

With her hands on her hips, she walked around Naikhee, who was thinking and nodding along the points.

Some say that walking helps improve memory and cognitive function, having studies shown this time and time again to be the case. Furthermore, it helps with dealing with mental illnesses, like depression and the like. However, if this was the case for Blue Hair and not because of the different "physiology" that Blonde and the rest have make this either a hobby or something done before.

"They, instead, are formed from the user's bodily instincts... impulses, you could say..." thock, thock until she stops for a moment, "When... you try to touch something hot, like- ermmm, say, uhhh... a boiling pot. Of course, naturally, you would tend to immediately put your hand away..." moving her hands around to explain, her head glancing at Naikhee's face or maybe the back of his head as if to think he's listening.

"But in a scenario where death is almost certain. Even if someone- say, a depressed teen- has the mindset to die. Four out of Ten times, that teen would likely have his survival instincts activated and fight for his life..." She would continue walking again, this time staying a bit at the corner of the so-called room. "That same logic could be applied to Innate Abilities, albeit a little loosely..."

"Since biological modifications were invented in the year 3401-"

"Correct." Blue nodded at Naikhee's statement, even cutting him off. "And that fact couldn't have been more true for her, but only under specific circumstances..."

She would walk in front of Blonde and collapse the news hologram with just a snap, them flipping away as the light transitions into faint glowing ambient glow.

"Since [REDACTED] forcibly tried to combine both, that resulted in... a form of mismatch. I'll ask you this..." pointed a finger towards him.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Say there's a video game where there's a mechanic. That mechanic is the fact that one item cannot inherit the other's attributes and vice versa. And let's theorize that one guy decided to mess with the code and just mushed them into this one thing... what would happen?"

"Well, there's obviously gonna be a bug in the game since the code that was presented and programmed isn't intended to do that. Meaning-"

"-there's gonna be a glitch in the system. Exactly..." Erimythees cuts Naikhee's answer again, a little eager in her eureka moment per se. "What that means now is that her Daydream- indexed by [REDACTED] to be MOAF and her temporal Innate Ability are connected. They're connected in such a way that one would affect the other." with one finger up on both hands, she'd want to make sure this breakthrough was done and complete.

"Ah, 'kay, I get it.." Blonde waved his hands and did a slow nod, "So what you're saying is that since Daydreams are connected to unconscious thoughts, Nicole inadvertently used her Innate Ability which caused her to stop time all over the world unintentionally. Is that right?"

With a sound argument and a closed case, "Correct", Blue confirmed her thoughts to be the same.
