The young woman returned to recuperate at Madam Warakun’s riverside home as per the first agreed-upon condition. She was happy to breastfeed both of her children as much as possible. She had to move into the house. There was still no sign of the father who was to return and see to the paperwork and the birth certificates. Although they were still in the period where these things could still be handled, Sakunthara felt displeased at his lack of attention.


Sakunthara knew that he had been indifferent about this issue from the start. She knew that he had hated her from the beginning and that he didn’t want the children. She didn’t care what he did to her, but he should consider the feelings of his own mother at least.
