Chapter 9 Part II

“Pongket Siriprapapen, the father of these two small children,” was the young man’s reply amidst the loud cries of little Nara.

“Please go outside first. Our baby is hungry,” the young woman accidentally blurted out familiarly. She was worried that her other child would be hungry and would cry loudly.

The way she had blurted out the intimate ‘our baby’ to refer to the child made the corners of the young man’s mouth lift in a pleased smile. At least she hadn’t put up a high wall and permanently branded him as someone to be hated, as he had initially thought.

“I’m a father. I want to help take care of my children. Would you like me to help feed them?”

“You’ve just realized that you were a father?” She said sarcastically, her tone cold.

“I also just found out that I have two children. That seems to be a deviation from the conditions in the contract.”
