Already a Mother, Not Quite a Wife

Sakunthara took a long time to adjust after accompanying the young man to live in Germany. The language was also a major problem for her because she had never thought she would have to use a third language after English.


Living here, she had Michelle, who was German, provide her with her services. She did not have to contact or communicate with anyone or handle any business outside of the house by herself. However, she wanted to handle small things like buying personal items by herself, like any woman.


Sakunthara found time to learn German from an application on her telephone. Although it wasn’t very effective, it was somewhat useful for her. It enabled her to understand some vocabulary and use some short phrases for communication.
