Already a Mother, Not Quite a Wife

“Then, let’s go try on the outfits, so we will know if anything needs to be altered,” Korawee invited her along. She brought over the outfits and handed them to the young woman.


It was popular to use Thai costumes for demonstrations, as a way to promote Thai cloth as well. The outfit that Korawee had chosen for the young woman was so perfectly suited to her, no alterations were needed. Sakunthara was elegantly beautiful in a golden Thai costume in the Boromaphiman style[1].


After the outfit try-on concluded, Korawee excused herself immediately because she still had a lot of unfinished business left to attend to, but Sakunthara was a special case which she had to take care of personally.


“The festival will begin at nine o’clock. Tomorrow at six in the morning, I’ll have the driver come to pick you up at the house, so we can begin giving the details of the festival to the entire team at the same time. If you need anything extra, you can call me at any time.”
