Korawee returned to the office with a peaceful face. Her chattering in English preceded her. Everyone at the office primarily used English to communicate. Neither Thai nor German was spoken.

She did not think to contact or wait for an answer from someone else after Sakunthara accepted, because after speaking to Sakunthara, she had secretly checked up on Sakunthara Thai Desserts.
