Chapter 19 Part III

“I probably didn’t tell you yet…today, you’re very beautiful.”

The sweet compliment, his face, and his striking eyes staring at her made the person being complimented unsure of how to act. She had to quickly pick up the cup of tea in front of her and drink it to alleviate her embarrassment. Sakunthara had no idea just how enchanting her cheeks that had reddened like ripened scarlet gourds were.

“I’m worried about the demonstration going on outside,” she said to relieve her embarrassment after she placed the cup of tea down on the table. She still felt shy with his eyes on her.

“I’ve let a member of staff take your place. I remember I’ve told you once already.”

The young woman looked at him in surprise. “When?”

“Do I have to tell you?” the young man replied in an even tone. Sakunthara nodded lightly in understanding. She sat still and collected, not saying anything else.
